Table 2- 1 Total monthly consumption of college students (yuan)
The monthly consumption (RMB) is more than 200-400,400-800,800-1000-15001500.
No.9 79 88 2 1 3
Proportion 4 41.5 43.5101
As can be seen from the table, the overall consumption level of college students presents two characteristics: First, the average monthly consumption of college students is between 400-800 yuan, accounting for 4 1.5%, and the total monthly expenditure is between 800- 1 000 yuan, accounting for 43%. 5%, the sum of the two is 85%. It can be seen that the consumption level of college students is not generally high, and the consumption of college students is relatively reasonable. Second, the overall consumption of college students is quite different. In the survey sample, 4% of college students' total monthly expenditure is lower than that of 400 yuan, and their lives are relatively tight. Their consumption is mainly to meet the basic needs of survival. However, the proportion of high-end consumers among college students is also very high. Among them, 1, 000- 1, 500 yuan, 1% of the wealthy students spend more than 1, 500 yuan, and the sum of them is 1, 654,38+0%. This consumption situation of college students reflects that with the development of China's market economy, the overall consumption level of college students has improved, which has created good material conditions for college students' study and life to a great extent. However, the huge differences in individual consumption of college students should attract the attention of society, schools and families, and guide them to establish a correct consumption concept.
(B) Analysis of college students' consumption sources
As a special consumer group, most college students mainly rely on their parents, relatives and friends to complete their studies. Professor Wang Hongli believes that the economic sources of college students' consumption can be divided into two categories: nominal income and real income. Nominal income refers to the monthly fixed living expenses given by the financial burden. Once some parents know that their children are in short supply of living expenses at school, they will continue to increase financial aid. The sum of living allowance and school scholarship constitutes their actual income. Because college students' primary task is to study at school, they don't have enough time to earn living expenses, so their consumption belongs to dependent consumption.
Table 2-2 Table of Major Financial Sources of College Students (%)
Families provide scholarships, work-study programs and student loans to relatives and friends.
Percentage 64.15.85.114.66.53.9
It can be seen that parental supply is the main source of college students' consumption, and 64. 1% of college students' consumption economy is mainly from parental supply, 5.8% from relatives and friends, 65.438+04.6% from work-study programs, 6.5% from student loans and 4% from other sources. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, many families have few restrictions on their children's spending on college, and they don't care about the specific situation of their children's spending. Many parents think that their children's going to college means that they grow up and have their own circle of friends. They should spend the money and try their best to meet their children's financial requirements. With the development of society, the monthly living allowance and scholarship of colleges and universities are constantly improving, and the consumption economy of college students is also increasing. The rising tuition fees in colleges and universities have increased the state's financial assistance to poor students. Some poor college students' consumption expenses are mainly provided by their own work outside the home and work-study programs, accounting for 14.6%, and many college students earn their living expenses by working on their own. Of course, there are also a few students who meet their high consumption needs by doing part-time jobs, but there are also some students who exercise their survival, development and creativity by engaging in practical work such as tutoring and promotion.
1. Planned consumption
Consumption is the unity of rationality and rationalization. According to the data, the consumption pattern of college students has largely deviated from the emphasis on experience and habits in the process of consumption. Based on the investigation of 200 college students in Harbin University, this paper analyzes their consumption behavior, and pays attention to planning and rationality in the process of consumption:
Table 2-3 Consumption Schedule of College Students
Unplanned, planned, strictly planned, total
Number 72 86 42 200
Proportion 36.2 43.8 20 100
The survey shows that 20% of college students have strict consumption plans, 43. 8% have plans and 36.2% have no plans. Most students can be careful in their daily consumption, and the blindness of a few college students' consumption cannot replace the whole. College students' consumption in advance is only an individual phenomenon among college students, and most college students' consumption behaviors are relatively planned.
