First, set the header and footer styles.
In Word2000, there is always a thin horizontal line under the header after the header is set by the "Header and Footer" command. If you are not satisfied, you can delete it or set it separately.
1. Select the format/style command to pop up the style dialog box.
Make the list drop-down boxes all stylized, select the header in the style item, and then click the Change button. Then click the format button and select the border command in the pop-up menu to pop up the border and shading dialog box.
2. Select the "Border" tab, and if you want to remove the thin horizontal line, select "None" in the setting item; If you want to change it, you can make other settings in the items such as Linetype, Color and Width. To set the footer style, just go to the footer area to set it, which is also very simple.
Second, set the page number of the column
We sometimes need to arrange documents by columns. For example, when printing eight test papers at school, the page is often divided into two columns, and there are page numbers at the bottom of each column, which are set in the form of "the first page, * * *". At this time, we can use the "= (formula)" field to set the column page number. The method is:
1. Open the Header and Footer toolbar, switch to the footer area, and enter the words "Page * * *" in the appropriate position in the 1 column.
Insert the cursor in the middle of the word "page" and press it twice.
"CtrlF9" shortcut key to get a pair of curly braces "{{}}". Enter the domain code in brackets as follows: "{={Page}*2- 1}".
3. Insert the cursor between the words "* * * pages" and insert the domain code "{={NumPages}*2}" between the words according to the method of 2.
4. Then write the domain code in the form of "Page {={Page}*2}, * * {= {numpages} * 2}" at the bottom of the second column.
5. Finally, press AltF9, and the page numbers of "Page 1" and "Page 2, *** 2" will appear under columns 1 and 2 respectively. In the future, with the increase of document layout, the page number will be updated automatically.
6. If the document is divided into three columns, just change the formula in the middle of "Page X" under column 1 to {={Page}*3-2}, set the second column to {={Page}*3- 1}, and set the third column to {={Page}*3}.
{NumPages}*3} will do.
Third, set the header and footer.
In Word, as long as the header and footer are set on the first page, the same header and footer will appear on all subsequent pages. However, some documents need to set different headers and footers on different pages. For example, in many books and magazines, different headers and footers are often set according to different chapters and columns. How to set different headers and footers on different pages of Word? All you have to do is divide the document into several parts.
What about subdivision? First, insert the cursor where the section is needed in the document, then open the Insert menu and click the Delimiter command to open the Delimiter dialog box. There are four types of section break: ① Next page; 2 "continuation"; 3 "even pages"; 4 "odd pages". "Next page" means that the text after section break starts from a new page;
"Continuous" means that the text after section break appears on the same page; "Even page" means that the text after section break starts from the next even page; "Single page" means that the text after section break starts from the next single page. Select one item according to your own arrangement needs, and press OK to return to the document. According to this method, you can divide the document into several different parts.
Now, you can set different headers and footers in different sections in the usual way. Starting from the second section only, when you open the header and footer toolbar, it will appear after "Header-Section 2".
For the words "same as the previous section", you must click the "same as the previous section" button on the toolbar, remove the words "same as the previous section", and then set the header. After that, the page header will be different from the header in the previous section. Footer settings are the same.
