Many people have different views on the artistic features of Zhang Ailing's novels. The following is my understanding of the artistic features of Zhang Ailing's novels. 1. Be good at creating an atmosphere and highlighting the sense of desolation. Because of the use of narrative means and superb psychological description skills, Zhang Ailing's works can create different atmospheres almost at any time. In atmosphere building, desolation consciousness has become a prominent theme. Desolation consciousness is the theme of my thesis. In this paper, I will discuss it from six aspects: (1) The reasons for the desolate consciousness of novels. (2) Zhang Ailing's persistence in desolation. (3) The desolation of the characters' fate. (4) The desolation of plot contrast. (5) desolation in image description. (6) The extension of desolate consciousness. Starting from the desolation from different angles, it forms a collection of desolation consciousness. Zhang Ailing always extends her brush strokes to the depths of people's souls. From the perspective and psychology of women, she added some delicate and gentle features. The more so, the more naturally it will touch the desolation in the ideological background. In her works, the atmosphere is easy to create, which makes her works present a quiet and diluted beauty without any deliberate action. In the creation of her natural atmosphere, the sense of desolation is also casual. As long as readers bring themselves into the atmosphere of their works, they can naturally feel that kind of desolation, which is not only desolate, but also irresistible. Zhang Ailing injected a soul into desolation. When feelings are strong, readers may have nowhere to find the source of desolation, but they are deeply shocked by desolation. 2. The images are rich and typical, which infuse the author's style. In terms of text expression, the capture and accurate description of images are the outstanding features of Zhang Ailing's works. The image descriptions in Zhang Ailing's novels include descriptions of houses, furniture and costumes, which are rich and complex. Her visual imagination can sometimes reach a gorgeous level. Images also involve mirrors, the moon and the like, which are clean and typical. Rich images make her works full and vivid. Typical images make the works full of personality. In the image description of Zhang Ailing, I think the moon is the most typical one. The use of the moon image runs through the author's whole creation. Zhang Ailing is good at using rich images, but she also has a soft spot for the moon. The moon's profit and loss, which makes the finishing touch to the atmosphere, is probably an important factor for the moon to be favored by her. The choice of images reflects the author's style. In the image-building, it includes her careful observation of life, rich imagination, experience and overall grasp of the characterization of writing background. We can gain insight into the author's style and deepen our understanding of the article. 3. Delicate female psychological portrayal. The psychological characterization of characters in Zhang Ailing's novels is very successful. People's movements, dialogues, background changes, and even light and smell all reflect psychological progress. In psychological depiction, Zhang Ailing is especially good at depicting female psychology. Zhang Ailing's works like to describe women. At the same time, as a legendary woman, she has a special experience, and her description of women is natural. She is good at grasping women in her works from their delicate psychology and exposing their dark side of human nature and inner pain. In Heart Sutra, Han Xiao deeply loves his father, but later he is ashamed of his mother, but he can't get rid of it. Her good friend Ling Qing walked with her father again. Han Xiao fell into a delicate and painful state of mind. At the end of the article, the dialogue between Han Xiao and his mother made Han Xiao struggle between warmth and desolation. The psychological description of Han Xiao in this paper is not a direct description, but is manifested in the movements, dialogues and background changes of the characters. In the scene where Han Xiao sent Ling Qing home, the dark stairs were highlighted. This light conversion is also a kind of lateral refraction of psychological activities. Zhang Ailing successfully portrayed the psychological world of Xiao Han by various means of expression. 4. Pay attention to language aesthetics, make good use of rhetoric and achieve gorgeous sentences. Zhang Ailing has been deeply influenced by China traditional culture for a long time, and pays attention to the consistency with literary images in syllable combination and sentence collocation, which embodies the artistic charm of Chinese language and literature in her novels. For example, in The Golden Lock, the author often uses onomatopoeic words vividly to increase the artistic effect of the scene. People seem to be in front of us, but they can't see but hear their voices. There are many beautiful sentences in her works, which show extraordinary artistic value. For example, "life is a gorgeous robe, full of fleas." She compared life to a gorgeous robe full of fleas, with a strange imagination and amazing words. 5. The intersection of Chinese and Western cultures. Zhang Ailing has been influenced by China traditional culture and western culture for a long time. Therefore, some of her novels reflect the characteristics of the intersection of Chinese and western cultures. In Red Rose and White Rose, the hero treasure, as a typical combination of Chinese and Western, has both the enterprising spirit and realistic spirit of westerners and the traditional concept of loyalty and filial piety of China. Although he is a self-made hero, he can bear hardships, have a sense of responsibility and achieve something on his own, but in order not to make his mother sad, he would rather give up his beloved king and marry a wife he doesn't love. In order to maintain the shell of a decent family, he would rather bear the double torture of emotion and sexual desire. Because Zhenbao has both the essence of Chinese and western cultures, and these essences exist in their own forms, intertwined and uncompromising, so he has changed from a traditional outstanding young man to an alien who is almost spurned by society. The novel shows the influence of the intersection of Chinese and western cultures on people's thinking and behavior, which has certain practical significance.
