He is currently a member of the Geomorphology Professional Committee of China Geographical Society, deputy secretary-general and executive director of China Advanced Geomorphology Teaching Research Association, member of tropical and subtropical branch of China Quaternary Research Association, and member of tropical and subtropical branch of Guangdong Geological Society. Professor Zhu Gan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of South China Normal University.
