He has been engaged in the analysis of traditional Chinese medicine, quality control methods of traditional Chinese medicine, research and development of new traditional Chinese medicine for a long time, and has formed a unique research approach to modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. This paper puts forward the theoretical research system of the basic research of chemical composition of traditional Chinese medicine compound, the correlation between the material basis of traditional Chinese medicine compound and its efficacy, and the fingerprint of traditional Chinese medicine, and puts forward a new idea of establishing modern quality standards of traditional Chinese medicine by "multi-dimensional and multi-information fingerprint". At present, the scientific research projects under research include: National 973 Program "Systematic Biology Research on Clinical Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Renal Failure with Traditional Chinese Medicine" (2005cb523503); Team leader of National 973 Program Project 3 "Metabonomics Research on Major Birth Defects" (2007CB5 1 19003) and team leader of National Major Science and Technology Sub-project of Innovative Drugs.
He has published nearly 400 academic papers in international and domestic core journals, including more than 60 articles, 5 monographs and more than 30 invention patents collected by SCI. In 2005 and 2006, the research results won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award 20 1 1, the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education in 2004, the first prize and second prize of Chinese Medical Association, the first prize of China Analytical Testing Society 1 time, and the second prize of China Analytical Testing Society twice.
