I. Different formats:
A short communication is a short paper, with fewer words, generally less than 2000 words. The format is similar to that of a paper, including introduction, methods and results. In contrast, the format of the letter is much simpler.
Second, the content is different:
Short communication refers to some articles with short length (generally no more than 4 pages) and less content but certain originality and novelty.
The letter pays more attention to commenting on the contents of previous studies and paying more attention to personal views and opinions.
Third, the number of words is different:
Letter's comments on previous papers published in this journal are generally within 500 words.
Short communication, generally within 600 words, a few can be relaxed to 1000 words.
