Is the abstract and the text on the same page?
Not here.

In a formal graduation thesis, the abstract and the text need to be written on different pages, not on the same page. Abstract is not a part of the text, but a first-class title in the paper, which is equivalent to a whole chapter. After this chapter is over, you need to start writing the next chapter on the next page, and you can't write it right away.
