EI (Engineering Index) is a global database, which mainly contains important documents in the field of engineering technology, including periodicals and conference documents, as well as some scientific and technological reports and monographs. There are three types of EI collections: EI core collections, non-core collections (Pageone collections) and conference papers.

Since June 65438+ 10, 2009, the data collected in EiCompendex database is no longer divided into core data and non-core data, and all data exist in the form of EiCompendex. The documents collected in EI database are only divided into two categories: conference retrieval and periodical retrieval, and their judgments are as follows:

If the file type is judged as conference paper (CA), it is conference paper.

If it is judged as Documenttype:Journalarticle(JA), it is a journal paper.

Generally speaking, the quality and recognition of periodical papers are much higher than the retrieval of conference papers.
