Papers on New Japan Land Records
At the end of each year, I will move out the books I read in the past year and read them again. One is to satisfy your inner sense of accomplishment, and the other is a little ashamed. If I don't open these books for a while, I really can't remember what they are about.

Two days ago, I received a book edited by a platform called How to Transform the Brain through Reading. Such a title full of "IQ tax", less than 200 pages thick, greatly reduced my interest in this book. However, two days after I put it by the bed, I still opened it, but it was so easy to turn it over, as if opening another door to the cognitive world.

The author of this book is Kenichir? Mogi, a famous Japanese brain scientist, the leader of creative economy in brain science and the first person to apply brain science in Japan. He used to work in Cambridge University, and now he is a senior researcher at Sony Computer Science Institute and a visiting professor at tokyo institute of technology Institute. In recent years, he swept Japan with the authority of brain science. The author of instant noodles is famous for being good at integrating complex and serious brain science knowledge into daily experience. From the perspective of brain science, he analyzed the winning ways of Miyazaki Hayao and other successful people, and interpreted the mentality and behavior of men and women in love, which was widely loved by the public.

This book "How to Transform the Brain through Reading" also inherits his consistent style, with no dazzling data and no argumentative system. The whole reading process is like chatting with an old friend and listening to him. Before you know it, you are attracted by the author's unique reading style.

This book introduces many methods to improve reading ability, all of which are based on the author's huge reading accumulation. After reading it, I feel that some methods are not suitable for our domestic readers, so after finishing, I list the following four methods for your reference:

Miscellaneous reading in different fields is very important. Many unexpected accumulations that we can't see with the naked eye often exist in a person's inner knowledge and life depth. But for ordinary people, reading a lot of books and reading across fields is really a very difficult thing. We can try to challenge books that we don't usually take the initiative to read. For example, people who often read business books can try to read classical literature; People who like reading novels can occasionally try social non-fiction literature. No one knows which topic can help us grow better. Without omnivorous books, there is no chance to meet opportunities.

I especially envy those people who can copy and read anything, from the great works of the emperor to the short articles in magazines. No matter what the theme and form, they always seem to learn different knowledge and happiness in different books. I once complained to a friend who likes reading books that there are no books to read recently. He picked up an Introduction to Spanish and handed it to me. I asked him, have you been learning Spanish recently? He said no, but he can read a lot of Spanish customs from this book, which are very different from our culture. Reading is very interesting. He didn't notice the surprise in his eyes. Obviously, for him who is used to "miscellaneous reading", he has begun to limit himself to the content of the book.

This method can be said to be the gospel of readers of "three-minute fever". People who do things in a "three-minute fever" are usually too serious from the beginning and eager to achieve success. Although they were full of momentum at first, they were panting and sweating after running 200 meters. On the contrary, they are those who read a little and question it. Because they always insist on walking at the speed of turtles, they often persist until the end.

If you are well aware of your personality and know that you are naturally bored, you might as well try reading several books at the same time. You don't have to spend some time continuously to finish reading. On the contrary, as long as you can read ten pages every day and exercise your reading ability like a muscle, your reading ability will be improved slowly and obviously, and you may finish three or four books a month.

I am an impatient person myself. Usually, when a book is halfway through, I can't read it anymore. Fortunately, with this method, I have picked up all the books that I gave up before, and I have to read dozens of pages every day, but I have finished reading them all.

As a paper book crowd, I once couldn't accept the form of e-books, but after reading this book, I understood whether to choose e-books or paper books. In fact, there is no difference between reading e-books and paper books in memory books, but reading e-books can easily lead to confusion in the order and time of memory events.

To put it bluntly, reading e-books is easy to confuse the content, but paper books will not have this problem. Many people who love reading are often divided into two factions. One side resolutely resists e-books, and the other side is a diehard fan of e-books. After seeing the brain's "different treatment" of e-books and paper books, they no longer struggle with these problems. They need to grasp the important progress of the event and buy paper books as much as possible, otherwise they will buy e-books.

At present, the knowledge payment market in China is extremely hot, and many products include services such as reading and telling books. These knowledge products can really make people understand the content of a book quickly, but they also lose the opportunity to collide with the author's thoughts. Maybe you understand a certain knowledge point, but you don't understand the overall meaning that the author wants to express.

Of course, it doesn't mean that dry goods are not good. For those who want to get started in a certain field or master the core knowledge of a certain skill, it is indeed a time-saving choice, but specific things need to be treated specifically. As far as this matter is concerned, I think dry goods are not a good choice.

For example, the famous book "The tipping point", many books-telling products only talk about some marketing knowledge conveyed by this book, but if you read it carefully from beginning to end, you will understand that the author is actually discussing the changes in the Internet age, how the market and businesses adapt to the changes, and it contains games of various dimensions, which is very exciting to read. Therefore, the choice of "dry goods" should be cautious.

When reading this book, I actually read it twice. The first time I was reading, the second time I was reading backwards. If you want to read this book, I suggest you do the same. On the surface, the author is teaching readers how to improve their reading ability in a scientific way and let their brains learn to read, but in fact, the purpose of learning to read is to cope with life more calmly and wisely.

Reading is the best entrance to other people's thinking. Through reading, we can look at things from the author's point of view and feel the collision of thoughts that has never happened before. Before we experienced the author's way of thinking, I didn't know that we could look at the world like this. The joy of finding new ideas is my biggest "addiction" to reading.

Books are the crystallization of people's wisdom for thousands of years. No matter in what era, the value of books has never changed, especially in the era when we are facing an "information explosion" every day. We need to take reading as an "anchor needle" so as not to be washed away by massive information.
