The sailing ceremony of the "Kun Kun" teaching practice ship of Dalian Maritime University was held in Shenzhen.

On the afternoon of April 17, 2008, the military music of Shenzhen Yantian International Port was full of flowers. The sailing ceremony of our school's "Yukun" teaching practice ship was held here. Gao Hongfeng, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport of China, leaders of relevant departments, Ashok Mahapatra, officials of China Maritime Safety Administration and International Maritime Organization, CleopatraDoumbia-Henry, Director of the Marine Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, RogerTupper, Director of Shenzhen Maritime Safety Administration and President Wang of our school attended the opening ceremony, and reviewed the "Yukun" student team. The ceremony was presided over by Sun Peiting, vice president of our school.

More than 50 maritime officials from 16 countries and regions attended the ceremony.

Gao Hongfeng, Vice Minister of Transportation of China, delivered a speech at the ceremony. He said that since the reform and opening up 30 years ago, China's fleet size has been among the top in the world, making it a world shipping power. However, big does not mean strong. In the development process of a shipping power, Dalian Maritime University shoulders a glorious mission and important responsibility in training senior maritime talents. Vice Minister Gao Hongfeng said that the Ministry of Transport has been strongly supporting the development of Dalian Maritime University. The operation of the "Yukun" teaching practice ship fully reflects the concern and support of the Ministry of Transport for the school. He hopes that our school will make good use of and manage this teaching practice ship and deliver more high-standard and high-quality maritime talents for the country.

Ashok Mahapatra, an official of the International Maritime Organization, delivered a speech at the ceremony. He spoke highly of the development of our school in recent years. He said that Dalian Maritime University pays attention to international cooperation and has cooperated with more than 20 maritime colleges in the world, ranking among the top in terms of school scale and conditions. He believes that the construction of Yukun is of great significance for our school to train senior crew members who meet the requirements of international maritime conventions. At the same time, he encouraged our students to cherish the opportunity, make good use of special practice boats and train themselves into senior sailors who meet international requirements.

President Wang warmly welcomed and thanked all the leaders and guests who attended the opening ceremony of the "Yukun" teaching practice ship. President Wang said with emotion that it has always been the dream of all maritime educators and students of Dalian Maritime University to build an ocean-going teaching and practice ship of our own and the most advanced in the world. Today, our dream has finally come true! China's higher maritime education, maritime professional skills and maritime management personnel training will take this as a symbol, embark on a new journey and turn a new page in history. Leaders and guests watched the propaganda film introducing the school with great interest, boarded the "Yukun" and visited the life teaching facilities such as the bridge, engine room, chart making room, classroom, etc., and had cordial exchanges with the students to understand the situation of the "Yukun" and the practice life at sea.

During the "Yukun" ship's participation in the 2008 China Navigation Day celebration, Suzhou TV Station and Taicang TV Station conducted special interviews on the "Yukun" ship many times. Yu Kun, a teacher and student attending the celebration, exchanged visits with Nanhai Rescue 10 1 and the crew of Zheng He-1, a wooden boat from New Sutai Province, and visited Zheng He Park to relive the great feat of Zheng He's seven voyages to the West.

China Maritime College delegation visits South Korea.

On September 2nd, 2008, the delegation of China Maritime College and the teaching practice ship "Yukun" of Dalian Maritime University set sail from Dalian Port for a 10-day exchange visit to South Korea, which was the first visit of the special teaching practice ship of China Maritime College.

The event was hosted by the Ministry of Transport. The delegation is mainly composed of students and teachers majoring in navigation from Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, Wuhan University of Technology, Jimei University and Qingdao Ocean Shipping Academy, as well as more than 30 people from various maritime administrations, port and shipping enterprises and institutions. The visit time is from September 2nd to 12. During this period, the "Yukun" will call at Busan Port and Mokpo Port, visit Korea Ocean University and Mokpo Ocean University, carry out cultural, sports and navigation skills exchange activities with teachers and students of the two schools, and invite teachers and students of the two schools to visit the "Yukun" ship. During this visit, the delegation will act as an emissary of maritime cultural exchanges between China and South China, fully display the elegance of maritime education in South, enhance the friendship between the Chinese and Korean peoples, promote exchanges and cooperation between maritime colleges of the two countries, and make positive contributions to the development of maritime education in China. Dalian Maritime University "Yukun" has direct flights to Taiwan Province Province for exchanges.

At the invitation of the presidents of Taiwan Province Ocean University and Kaohsiung Ocean University of Science and Technology, the world's most advanced ocean-going teaching and practice ship "Yukun" belonging to Dalian Maritime University set sail from Dalian Port to Taiwan Province Province in May 2009 for a seven-day visit and exchange with two universities in Taiwan Province Province. The delegation consists of more than 65,438,000 teachers and students of Dalian Maritime University. This is the first time that a mainland ocean-going teaching practice ship has visited Taiwan Province, marking a new historical period for cross-strait maritime education exchanges and cooperation.

Since 1998, Dalian Maritime University and Taiwan Province Ocean University have signed the Agreement on Academic Exchange and Cooperation, aiming at promoting the development of knowledge research and education and improving the quality of scientific research and teaching. Since 2002, the two universities have held "Cross-Strait Shipping Science and Technology Seminar" in turn every year. During this period, the two sides exchanged scholars to give lectures. Taiwan Province Ocean University has sent many teachers and students to visit Dalian Maritime University. Six students from Taiwan Province Province received doctoral and master's degrees from Dalian Maritime University.

In 2003, Dr. Huang from Ocean University and his party visited Dalian Maritime University. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on teaching, scientific research, management and further strengthening academic exchanges and personnel training.

Kaohsiung Ocean University of Science and Technology, which has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with Dalian Maritime University, visited Dalian Maritime University for the third time under the leadership of its president, Mr. Chen Zhecong, on April 4, 2008. Mr. Chen Zhecong spoke highly of Dalian Maritime University's school-running mode and the quality of personnel training, and hoped that the two universities would further deepen cooperation, broaden cooperation areas and promote the common development of cross-strait maritime education in the future. The two sides reached an understanding on the school-running mechanism of the two universities, the management of students majoring in navigation, the operation mode of practice ships, and the research and development of navigation simulators.

Dalian Maritime University has a long-term exchange and cooperation relationship with the shipping industry in Taiwan Province Province. Mr. Provincial Evergreen Group, General Manager Xie Zhijian and Deputy General Manager Lu of Taipei Shipping Headquarters visited Dalian Maritime University respectively and exchanged views on the cooperation between the two sides in training maritime students. Guanghua Education Foundation of Taiwan Province Province established Guanghua Scholarship in Dalian Maritime University on June 5438+ 10, 2006. The Foundation contributes 200,000 yuan each year to reward graduate students and undergraduates studying in Dalian Maritime University. Dalian Maritime University, with a history of one hundred years, is a world-class maritime college with graduates all over the world. There are more than 1000 maritime graduates every year, while Taiwan Province Ocean University in Taiwan Province Province only has 1000 maritime graduates every year, which makes Taiwan Province Province urgently need maritime graduates to serve the shipping industry in Taiwan Province Province. In recent years, more and more Taiwan Province students want to study in the mainland. In order to further expand the cooperation between the two sides, with the approval of relevant parties, the school of Dalian Maritime University decided that teachers and students of Dalian Maritime University would take a world-class dedicated ocean-going teaching practice ship belonging to the school to visit Taiwan Province Province, show Dalian Maritime University's school-running strength and students' elegant demeanour, conduct extensive and in-depth discussions on exchanging overseas students between the two sides of the strait and continuing to strengthen inter-school cooperation and exchanges, and realize the direct "three links" between the two sides of the strait.

It is understood that during the visit to Taiwan, the delegation will visit Taiwan Province Ocean University and Kaohsiung Ocean University of Science and Technology, invite teachers and students from the two universities to visit Dalian Maritime University, and hold an inter-school basketball match and get-together. At the same time, Dalian Maritime University and Taiwan Province Ocean University will renew the Memorandum of Cooperation on Exchange of Visiting Scholars and Students, Exchange of Academic Papers and Monographs, Holding Academic Seminars and Special Lectures, and Developing Cooperation and Exchanges in Scientific Research.

The theme of China Navigation Day in 2009 is "Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China and meet the new challenges of navigation". At the ceremony of collecting water to celebrate the conference, the water of peace collected from the Gulf of Aden, the water of affection collected from Taiwan Province Province, the holy water collected from Tibet and the water of prosperity collected from Dalian were collected into "harmonious water" by six water collectors and poured into the sea after the conference. The celebration conference issued the Dalian Declaration on China Navigation Day.

Dalian Municipal Government, China Railway Container Transportation Co., Ltd., Shenyang Railway Bureau, Harbin Railway Bureau, China Shipping (Group) Corporation and Dalian Port Group signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement for Northeast Sea-rail Intermodal Transport, which will further accelerate the construction of Northeast container sea-rail intermodal transport system, promote the construction of Dalian Northeast Asia International Shipping Center and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of regional economy.

China Navigation Day was held in the waters from Dalian Port to Dalian Xinghai Bay on the same day. More than 80 ships including rescue helicopters, sailboats, windsurfers, speedboats, rescue boats, sea surveillance vessels, sea police vessels, frontier inspection vessels, student practice vessels and luxury yachts participated in the performance, which aroused the strong interest of tens of thousands of spectators present. After the performance, ships such as "Yukun" of Dalian Maritime University, Beihai Rescue Bureau Beihai Rescue11,Beihai Rescue 20 1 and Liaoning Maritime Bureau Sea Patrol 02 1 will also be opened, and citizens can board the ships to visit.

As the venue of China Navigation Day in 2009, Dalian also held a variety of mass participation activities.

As one of the celebration activities, the "2009 Zheng He and Navigation International Forum" was also held in the afternoon of 1 1 at the Bangchui Island Hotel, with experts from the Ministry of Transport, the State Oceanic Administration, the China Society of Shipbuilding Engineering, the Danish Maritime Safety Administration, universities and enterprises.

China Navigation Day was approved by the State Council in 2005, and the date was set as 1 1 July, which was the decision date of Zheng He's voyage to the Western Ocean in the Ming Dynasty. Previously, China had held four nautical day celebrations in Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao and Taicang, Jiangsu. The next celebration of China Navigation Day will be held in Quanzhou, Fujian Province.
