Linguistic features of scientific papers
The language of scientific papers has four main characteristics.

1. A large number of technical terms with clear concepts and fixed meanings are used. Strictly adopt standardized written language, refuse colloquialism and avoid using ambiguous sentences and synonyms.

2. Scientific papers tell people some scientific truths, explain natural phenomena, give some laws or put forward new ideas and theories. Therefore, declarative sentences are widely used in the discussion, and lyrical description and deliberate rendering are excluded by narration, explanation and discussion.

3. Writing scientific papers is a deep-seated thinking activity, which should be clear-headed, compact, interlocking and logical. Therefore, complex sentences are widely used in scientific and technological styles, among which conditional complex sentences, hypothetical complex sentences and causal complex sentences are frequently used.

4. The organic combination of artificial language and natural language forms a unique language style. The so-called artificial language refers to a special language that combines pictures, tables, symbols and lines in natural language with words. The biggest advantage of the chart is that it is intuitive and concise. If we use natural language to explain some scientific and technological contents, that is, many words and sentences, it is still difficult to make it clear and achieve satisfactory results. However, charts, tables or photos can be used to express it accurately and vividly. In terms of scientific and technological style, international scientific and technological symbols are also widely used.
