The Journey to the West model of CD-A brief introduction to four personalities: D, I, S and C!
1. What is a CD?

DDISCcpersonality assessment is a set of professional personality assessment developed by American psychologist Dr. maston according to people's behavior habits and thinking tendency. Disc is divided into four categories: domination, influence, stability and obedience, and its initials are disc.

Second, the Journey to the West mode helps you understand your disc.

Presumably, everyone should have seen The Journey to the West, in which the four main characters are Tang Priest, Wukong, Bajie and Friar Sand (I'm joking for the time being because there are few white appearances).

Then why should I talk about Journey to the West? Because many articles about DISC at present use tigers, peacocks, koalas and owls to help others remember the word DISC. Based on my own years of experience in teaching discs to customers, I found that the Journey to the West series is more vivid than the Animal Series, and it is more convenient to classify the characters on the disc, because the behavior of animals still needs our thinking and research, and the behavior of characters in The Journey to the West has long been vividly portrayed.

So from this model of The Journey to the West, we can see (the following information refers to the relevant information of network and personal arrangement):

1, Wukong -Dominant-D

This typical behavior style can be roughly described as the type of "founder". Such people usually show abundant energy and unique behavior, and are very eager for new challenges and opportunities. They have strong self-power. Founders like excitement and often take unexpected risks. In order to achieve their goals, they will make demands on people and the environment. The founder outlined the "blueprint" and pushed it forward with passion. They are most afraid of being controlled and used, and may appear straightforward under pressure and lack communication art.

behavior characteristics

The founder's behavioral characteristics are very typical high "dominant" characteristics, which are usually described as "arbitrary" This is a typical behavioral feature of combining "arbitrariness" with "restriction" because there is no other second factor to balance it. Simple "domination" shows a domineering and even bossy attitude. Individuals of this behavior type have strong desire for achievement, profound ambition and competitive consciousness.

connect

Creators usually pay attention to achievements and results. In extreme cases, individuals of this behavior type may only regard others as tools or means to achieve their goals. "Dominant desire" is not a characteristic factor to express emotions, and they usually don't pay too much attention to interpersonal relationships and emotional needs. For others, they will find it difficult to break their natural appearance of caution and doubt.

Ability characteristics

Founders have the ability to lead and control, which is based on their direct and high standard nature. Individuals with this type of behavior are more suitable for a structured and formal work environment, rather than a work environment that requires close relationships. They are very competitive and confident people, and they can still make decisions and implement plans quickly in the absence of information. A task that is extremely difficult for others may be like a duck to water for them.

Behavioral advantage

Founders are usually direct and decisive; They have strong self-motivation and are usually problem solvers; They are adventurers, and their motivation usually comes from themselves.

Behavior weakness

The behavior characteristics of the founder's strong dominance may sometimes appear too arbitrary and authoritative; Controversial, or too domineering; They don't like convention, they like adventure, but they may act too fast.

2. Bajie influenced me

This typical behavior style can be roughly described as the type of "communicator". This type of people are usually full of enthusiasm and optimism, and they achieve their goals through people. They like being in a crowd, so they don't like working alone. They have excellent communication skills. They like social recognition and are afraid of not being accepted. Communicators are energetic, but they may be careless and lack organization in practical work. Communicators are good at encouraging, but sometimes they develop into flattery.

behavior characteristics

The behavioral characteristics of communicators are typical "influence" characteristics. Without the balance of other behavioral factors, individuals of this behavior type will show a gregarious, extroverted and communicative behavior style. In Kan Kan, it is usually easy for them to establish relationships with others and talk about them. Because of this, we usually refer to this kind of behavior as individual "communicators". They value interaction and communication, and expect to establish positive relationships with others.

connect

The communicator's communication ability may be exactly what individuals of this behavior type have been striving for. They are extroverted and confident, so their social skills are outstanding. For the people around them, they are often attracted and moved by their obvious self-confidence and enthusiasm for interacting with others.

Ability characteristics

There is no doubt that the communicator's ability is the performance of his good communication. They are excellent persuaders and are completely interpersonal-oriented. They are good at conveying ideas and ideas and influencing others; At the same time, they can adapt to different situations and try to understand other people's opinions and suggestions.

Behavioral advantage

Communicators always show their warm and cheerful side; They trust others, are persuasive and talkative; Be optimistic about life or work; They are usually emotional, too.

Behavior weakness

Communicators may pay too much attention to the public or interpersonal relationships and ignore the importance of actual results; They may not pay attention to details, but only shout directions; Because of his active personality, he may not listen.

3. Friar Sand-Peace (also known as stability)-S.

This typical behavior style can be roughly described as "planner" type. Such people are usually stable in character and like to maintain the stability of the surrounding environment, especially the interpersonal relationships around them. They like to help others and get along well with many people with different personalities because they are always good at self-control and polite. They are usually patient and obey the rules. Planners need time to adapt to change and are unwilling to abandon the "old routine". They prefer gradual changes. Once they make up their minds, they will stick to it, even very stubborn.

behavior characteristics

The behavior characteristics of planners show very typical "stable" characteristics, and there are no other behavioral factors to balance them. "Steady" represents patience, calmness and approachability; And a pure "stability" clearly reflects these characteristics. Individuals of this behavior type are usually enthusiastic, empathetic, willing to accept other people's views and attach importance to positive interpersonal interaction. They are naturally introverted and need to rely on the guidance and leadership of others.

connect

Planners expect others to initiate the requirements of interaction actively, because their stable dependence makes them better at maintaining an existing interpersonal relationship rather than opening a new one. Because of this, their interpersonal circle is usually small, but it is extremely stable and reliable.

Ability characteristics

The ability of planners is characterized by "support", and they are usually trustworthy and loyal. People who behave in this way are natural listeners and consultants. They are persistent and reliable in behavior, and they are patient and stable before completing the task. It is precisely because of this that they are better at dealing with complex trivial matters than individuals of other behavior types.

Behavioral advantage

Planners are usually good listeners and participants in team activities; They are stable and trustworthy, and their behavior is usually predictable; They are considerate and always take harmonious interpersonal relationship as the leading direction.

Behavior weakness

Planners usually refuse to change, especially mutation; They need a long time to adapt to change; There is jealousy in his personality, and he is sensitive to criticism and accusation; It is also difficult to establish a priority position in the work.

4. Tang Priest-Perfect Type (also called Obedience Type) -C

This typical behavior style can be roughly described as a type of "logical thinker". Such people usually show the characteristics of seeking truth from facts, rationality and independence. They have high self-evaluation ability and may be strict with themselves and others, but they seldom express themselves and appear calm and silent. They are most afraid of being criticized, so they will make unremitting efforts to achieve perfection. A "logical thinker" will repeatedly process information and analyze problems. Sometimes it seems cold and unresponsive to people.

behavior characteristics

Logical thinkers have very typical "obedience" characteristics. Individuals of this behavior type are usually passive, silent and cautious, and appear indifferent and lonely to others. This kind of behavior usually comes from their natural introverted personality, and they usually don't take the initiative to share information or any thoughts about themselves with others unless absolutely necessary. In fact, individuals with this type of behavior usually have strong ambitions and possibly "unrealistic" ideals. But it is precisely because they lack determination and are unwilling to face the conflict scene directly that it is difficult for them to achieve their goals directly.

connect

Logical thinkers have many unique advantages, but for individuals of this behavior type, the communication ability is very insufficient. Introverted personality and suspicious nature make it difficult for them to establish and maintain close interpersonal relationships, especially in business environment. If they can establish close partnership or friendship, it is also based on the same hobbies and goals, not usually based on emotional considerations.

Ability characteristics

A logical thinker is usually a very independent person. Individuals with this type of behavior have a very structured mode of thinking, and they will show their unique advantages when organizing and sorting out information, dealing with work that requires extremely meticulous attitude, or making analysis and judgment in a very complex system.

Behavioral advantage

Logical thinkers are usually accurate and analytical; They have a strong sense of self-responsibility and are serious; Always seek truth from facts, rigorous and accurate; Adopt high standards for people and themselves.

Behavior weakness

Logical thinkers need clear boundaries of activities or interpersonal relationships; They are easily limited by processes or methods and often get into trouble in details; Usually not good at expressing emotions, easy to avoid compromise rather than facing problems directly.

In order to avoid accepting too much information at one time, only four personality categories are introduced above: D, I, S and C. These four personality categories are the basis of disc analysis. It is important to tell you a principle of learning the disc: never change from its original religion.

In subsequent articles, I will further analyze the personality types of second-line combination (such as SC, CI, DS, IS), third-line combination (such as SCI, DIC, IDS) and fourth-line combination (such as chameleon).

3. What is your CD personality?

So how do you know your personality through CD evaluation?

The usage is simple: you can sit in the right position after you finish the evaluation questions of DISC (there are many free DISC test channels on the Internet).

Fourthly, CD personality simplifies memory.

If you think there are too many words in the second part above, you can write down some key elements shown in the figure below to help you remember the key features of D, I, S and C quickly.
