The official scholar-bureaucrat class is also a human being, and it will always be a mixture of true Confucianism and false Confucianism. In fact, to be fair, fake Confucianism is generally the majority, that is, practical Confucianism is the majority, because Xunzi is right and people are selfish. When the king is enlightened, he will reuse the true Confucianism, thus suppressing the Rightists. These people will generally become sages in history, but with the stability of the country, pseudo-Confucianism will naturally spread in the bureaucratic system, which is the result of natural human nature. The Confucian bureaucratic system is mostly doers, proficient in power-seeking, flattering colleagues and dominating the market.
In the later period, in order to cope with the development of history, the monarch and his ministers staged a great drama. The emperor made Confucius and Mencius a teacher and respected him as a god, while the literati gradually performed a set of moral constraints, called "rites", which combined hard and soft to strengthen the rule over the people. After the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was further imprisoned and rigid, and many forbidden areas of Confucianism were almost suffocated. Besides politeness, it is more important than textual research and other boring things.
