We live in a small poverty alleviation village in Lancang County, bordering Myanmar. The life of Lahu people has changed greatly from primitive society to socialist society, but they are still poor.
Zhu Youyong: The natural conditions in this place are very good. This is a tropical rain forest area with high temperature, rich water resources and vast land for farmers. Because there is no technology and industry, the problem of poverty is particularly prominent. Farmer brothers only plant rice once a year, and they are idle in winter. We plan to promote 30,000-50,000 mu in two years to turn winter fallow fields into beneficial fields. Many scientific and technological workers are fighting in the front line of poverty alleviation, popularizing and applying research results and writing papers on the land in poor areas.
