What causes liver cirrhosis?
Let's listen to Dr. Tongji.
Tongji hospital: Yang Changqing.
0 1 When will liver disease become cirrhosis?
Among all kinds of liver diseases, chronic viral hepatitis is the most likely to cause cirrhosis, such as hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Hepatitis B is the most common in China, so it should be the most common viral hepatitis.
hepatitis virus
Hepatitis virus infection is one of the main causes of liver cirrhosis. Many people think that viral hepatitis infection is not serious, there are no serious symptoms, and it doesn't matter if life is not affected. In fact, this view is wrong Many clinical cases show that patients with hepatitis B and C can develop liver fibrosis or even cirrhosis if they are not actively diagnosed and treated. Hepatitis C patients can be completely cured now if they are treated actively in the early stage. Because chronic hepatitis virus accumulates in patients for a long time, the virus keeps replicating, causing very serious damage to the liver, which in turn leads to the formation of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. This is why hepatitis virus becomes liver cirrhosis. It should be reminded that the course from viral hepatitis to liver fibrosis and even cirrhosis is as short as several months and as long as several decades.
Acute alcoholism
Patients with common liver diseases around them will be asked to give up drinking. In fact, this is because alcohol and its intermediate metabolite acetaldehyde can cause direct damage to the liver. For people who often drink alcohol, the probability of cirrhosis is much higher than that of ordinary people, because their liver has been damaged by alcohol for a long time. Therefore, drinking alcohol is one of the forming factors of liver cirrhosis. Drinking more than 40 grams a day (equivalent to liquor 100 ml, red wine 500 ml and beer 1000 ml) may lead to alcoholic hepatitis after five years.
In addition, even if you don't drink alcohol, some patients with fatty liver can gradually evolve into liver fibrosis or even cirrhosis.
How to prevent liver cirrhosis?
Liver cirrhosis caused by hepatitis occurs under the specific circumstances of severe liver injury and recurrent or persistent hepatitis. Recurrent hepatitis evolves into cirrhosis, and there is still a link in the middle, that is, liver fibrosis.
Liver fibrosis in China is mainly caused by viral hepatitis, which promotes the continuous expansion of liver fibrosis. Therefore, there are two main links to prevent the occurrence of liver cirrhosis: antivirus and prevention of liver fibrosis. Removing the cause is the most useful measure to prevent liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. For chronic viral hepatitis with repeated activities, antiviral treatment is fundamental, followed by active liver protection, anti-inflammation and prevention of liver fibrosis.
Alcoholic patients should give up drinking, and those with alcoholic liver injury continue to drink, almost all of them can develop cirrhosis.
Patients with fatty liver usually pay attention to the regulation of diet, mainly low sugar, high protein and light food.
Adequate rest is very necessary, and excessive fatigue and mood swings will promote the further development of the disease.
In a word, the main factors of liver cirrhosis in hepatitis patients are virus activity and repeated inflammation, so I hope hepatitis patients will pay attention to it. As long as it is handled properly, cirrhosis can be prevented to some extent.
