What is EPQ?
Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) is a self-rating scale developed on the basis of Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EH) and compiled by British psychologist H.J. Eysenck. It was first published in 1952 and officially named as 1975.

There are two forms: adult questionnaire and children questionnaire. Including four subscales: Extroversion Scale (E), Emotion Scale (N), Psychosis Scale (P) and Validity Scale (L). There are norms for men and women. With the increase of age, the scores of P, E and N decreased, while the score of L increased. The p and n scores of mental patients are high, and the l score is extremely high, which has good reliability and validity.

China's revised edition is still divided into children's edition and adult edition, but the number of entries has changed from 97 and 107 to 88 and 88 respectively. Because the scale has fewer problems, it is convenient to use and more applicable.

Personality theory:

Eysenck's personal theory-ry H.J. Eysenck, starting from the trait theory, has long combined the factor analysis method with the traditional experimental psychology method, and shifted his research interest from the trait to the dimension, thus establishing his own personality theory.

Eysenck opposes the abstract definition of personality. In the book "Dimensions of Personality" (1947), he pointed out that "personality is the sum total of behavior patterns actually displayed by living things". According to Eysenck, the sum of this behavior pattern includes four main aspects: cognition (intelligence), conation (personality), emotion (temperament) and body (physique). Later, he emphasized the stability and persistence of personality.
