1.RES cooperates closely with government departments in water resources protection, plays the role of information source, reports the marine pollution situation at any time, and guides local enterprises to improve their methods to eliminate pollution discharge from the source.
Participants in 2.2. RES put forward that it hopes to carry out preliminary cooperation in pollution control of transnational rivers. Starting from the boundary river in Heilongjiang, the existing problems are solved from three aspects: industrial pollution, domestic wastewater and plastic pollution, and we are determined to finally achieve the goal of zero pollution. They said that they are aware of the importance attached by the China Municipal Government to pollution and are willing to have all-round exchanges with the Green Committee in data, technology and policies. As an observer of three international chemicals conventions (Basel Convention, Rotterdam Convention and Stockholm Convention), As a participant in the IUCN World Conservation Congress (IUCN WCC), the 5th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP 15) and the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP26), the Green Council invited RES to strengthen cooperation in the above meetings and conventions. It is also proposed to take RCEP4C as a platform, invite experts to discuss, jointly propose the motion of World Wetlands Day, and cooperate in the direction of the Convention on the Protection of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS).
3. The second meeting of the Fifth United Nations Environment Assembly, to be held in early 2022, will focus on marine garbage and plastic pollution. In a series of preliminary meetings, from the industry and social welfare organizations to the national government and relevant UN agencies, a general consensus has been reached, and it is necessary to make joint efforts to formulate industrial, regional and global regulations and conventions to reduce the use of plastics and clean up marine pollution. It is hoped that China Green Development Association and Russian Ecological Society will join hands to arouse more people's attention to the ocean and related waters and make pioneering progress in pollution control of transnational rivers.
