What is a focus group interview?
The purpose of focus group interview is to cross-check and feedback the opinions or ideas of the promotion agencies on the project design at the grassroots level. In the planning, implementation and evaluation of project activities, explain and understand the views, attitudes, behaviors and existing problems of all parties involved in the project, such as beneficiaries, field workers and project officials. Focus group interviews focus on a specific topic and usually consist of 6-8 people. An interview usually takes 1 ~ 2 weeks to prepare, including analyzing situations and topics, forming sub-topics (sub-topics) and interview guidelines (outlines), and screening interviewees. Interviewers must have good theory and practice in related fields, skilled coordination skills, language communication and expression skills, and experience in holding focus group interviews.
