Since 1982, he has been engaged in theoretical and engineering research on the large-scale preparation of biological products, and has undertaken and completed many research projects such as the national key natural science fund, the 863 high-tech project and the national key scientific and technological projects. He is good at the theory and application technology of separation, purification and modification of protein and natural products, and has made innovative achievements in the purification and modification of genetically engineered protein drugs and the preparation of blood substitutes by purification and modification of hemoglobin. He has published 200 papers in academic journals at home and abroad. Participated in writing 8 academic monographs in Chinese and English. Thirty national invention patents have been authorized, among which five patents involving blood substitutes are state secret patents.

Su Zhiguo, male, doctoral supervisor of China Academy of Sciences, researcher of Institute of Process Engineering, and doctoral supervisor of Graduate School of China Academy of Sciences. Male, born in July 1954. He is currently the director of the State Key Laboratory of Biochemical Engineering and the chief scientist of the National Biochemical Engineering Technology Research Center (Beijing).
