abstract:

With the advent of the global information age, all walks of life in China have begun to use information technology in depth. At present, LAN has become an indispensable working tool for major state-owned enterprises and central enterprises in China, playing an indispensable role. Due to the limited IP addresses allocated by China's IPv4 technology, many companies that use information networks rely on local area networks to solve this problem. Nowadays, people's lives are more and more informationized, and it is more and more convenient to know the weather. Meteorological Bureau is an important unit that uses LAN, but LAN has advantages and disadvantages. Its disadvantage is that its safety performance needs to be well guaranteed. Therefore, based on my working experience in Shanxi Meteorological Bureau, this paper discusses the security of local area network of Meteorological Bureau.

First, the status quo of the local area network of the Meteorological Bureau

With the popularity of mobile phones in thousands of households, it is easier for people to obtain information. Nowadays, people pay more and more attention to the daily weather, so it is very important to ensure the information security of the Meteorological Bureau. At present, with the progress of science and technology, the information provided by the Meteorological Bureau has also expanded from the initial single weather situation to functions such as voice broadcast and video playback. The initial network information transmission can no longer meet people's current needs. However, with the continuous improvement of the information transmission capacity of the Meteorological Bureau, there are more and more security problems in the local area network of the Meteorological Bureau. If the security of LAN is not guaranteed, it will easily lead to untimely information transmission, errors and malicious tampering. Therefore, the meteorological bureau should actively use defensive measures to ensure the safety of the local area network of the meteorological bureau and provide protection for people to obtain meteorological information.

Second, the threat to the LAN.

According to the working mode of meteorological bureaus in various provinces in China, it can be seen that the LAN used by meteorological bureaus generally works according to the characteristics described in the following figure. Through the information transmission of WAN, the network centers of provincial meteorological bureaus can be networked with the National Meteorological Bureau and the Municipal Meteorological Bureau, which may be threatened by other LANs. Moreover, the local area network of meteorological bureau is more vulnerable to special network threats because of the three-way communication of data, voice and video. (1) virus is very dangerous.

With the continuous improvement of China's informatization, the amount of information transmitted by the Meteorological Bureau is increasing year by year, and the amount of information transmitted is also rising steadily. Although this proves that China has entered a new information age, it also makes the computer local area network more and more likely to be threatened by the network. At present, the local area network of the Meteorological Bureau mainly has the following problems.

1. At present, the local area network of the Meteorological Bureau does not have a scientific, complete and hierarchical virus defense system. Many provincial meteorological bureaus in China use low-level antivirus software or stand-alone version, which leads to many security loopholes in the local area network of meteorological bureaus and cannot effectively prevent the emerging new viruses. Moreover, it is impossible to upgrade the software because it is a stand-alone antivirus software.

2. At present, most meteorological bureaus lack effective methods to manage anti-virus software, such as centralized management, which brings a lot of unnecessary costs to software maintenance, and because many of our users have not taken anti-virus measures, many viruses can be spread to the meteorological bureau through our users.

3. Many local area networks of the Meteorological Bureau use openurl, and a virus outbreak may cause a large area of computer infection.

4. The server of Meteorological Bureau adopts parallel operating system, which can't guarantee the same version of defense system, and the selection of antivirus software is troublesome.

5. There are many LANs exported by Meteorological Bureau, so it is difficult to manage them in a unified way. It is very difficult to upgrade LAN to a unified, comprehensive and hierarchical anti-virus security system.

(2) Bad network customers are destroyed.

At present, there are a large number of bad customers around the world. They often steal network data and destroy network systems. Some bad customers may bomb and maliciously destroy some LANs, resulting in LAN failure. Moreover, some bad customers will tamper with the information of the network and the company server, resulting in the company information not working normally or even being lost. In addition, some bad customers may transmit some files with viruses to the target object, making the recipients unable to guard against them. Therefore, for the meteorological bureau, the bad customers on the network have great destructive power, strong attack ability and various attack methods. Therefore, it is very important for the meteorological bureau network to prevent bad customers.

Third, network security coping strategies

The application of (1) firewall.

As mentioned above, the local area network of the Meteorological Bureau is endangered by many networks, so it is essential to protect the local area network. Firewall is an effective means of protection, which can isolate the internal and external networks of the company from each other, analyze the transmitted data and exclude unknown information. However, it also has the disadvantage of allowing authorized users to browse and modify information. At present, there are several common firewalls: monitoring, proxy, network address translation -NAT, packet filtering and so on. Therefore, the scientific and reasonable use of firewall by the Meteorological Bureau can provide great protection for the local area network used by the unit. In addition to the firewall, LAN administrators can also manage visitors, and routers with identification function can be installed in the data transmission system through the Internet to ensure the number and identity of visitors. However, this method also has its shortcomings, that is, it is prone to unreasonable configuration and cannot cope with the attacks initiated by the application layer. In addition, the administrator can install anti-virus software on the desktop of the LAN to strengthen the killing of viruses.

(2) Prevention of computer virus.

The virus prevention methods of local area network of meteorological bureau can be aimed at the following systems: gateway level, server and client. Gateway-level anti-virus measures can install anti-virus software, regularly scan and monitor local area networks or computers, and implement protective measures against SMTP, HTTP and FTP. The anti-virus measures of the server are mainly to scan and check the information of the server and the LAN through the anti-virus system, and to divide the unknown files and viruses. The anti-virus measure of the client is to use enterprise-level anti-virus software to centrally check and record enterprise data, which can automatically update the existing virus database, realize remote management and help the Meteorological Bureau manage and maintain data.

Fourth, summary.

The information security of local area network of Meteorological Bureau is related to many daily users in our country, so it is very important to improve the security performance of local area network of Meteorological Bureau. By strengthening the security construction of the local area network of the Meteorological Bureau, we can not only improve the convenience of our daily life, but also prevent the meteorological data from being maliciously tampered with, resulting in security risks of important units such as civil aviation.
