On the Construction of Personalized Dormitory Culture for College Students

In study and work life, when it comes to papers, everyone is certainly familiar with them. Thesis is a tool for academic communication. Then the question comes, how to write an excellent paper? The following is my collection of papers on the cultural construction of college students' individual dormitories, hoping to help you.

abstract:

As an important place for college students' daily life, dormitory occupies a vital position in the construction of various facilities in the school, so dormitory culture is also an important part of campus culture in colleges and universities. The quality of a dormitory culture directly affects the cultivation of students' values in all aspects. In the new era, we should also change our past ideas, attach importance to the construction of dormitory culture in colleges and universities, and give full play to the role of dormitory in shaping a student's quality in all aspects. The author puts forward some constructive suggestions on how to innovate the construction of dormitory culture in colleges and universities for reference.

Key words:

A new period; University student dormitory culture; Architectural innovation

Foreword:

To some extent, the dormitory in colleges and universities is actually another "home" for college students, who spend a large part of their spare time in the dormitory, so just as the overall environmental atmosphere of a family will affect life and people inside, the environmental atmosphere of the dormitory will also affect all aspects of college students. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to create a good dormitory environment atmosphere and establish a harmonious and healthy dormitory culture.

First, the basic meaning of college students' dormitory culture construction

The so-called dormitory culture, specifically, refers to the sum of a series of situations such as values, emotions, culture and education created in the dormitory area with students as the main object. Generally speaking, the content of dormitory culture is mostly included in extracurricular activities, and its core is campus spirit, which is created and enjoyed by college students collectively [1]. Fundamentally speaking, dormitory culture is also an important part of the whole school's study style and school spirit construction. In the dormitory group, members will promote and influence each other.

Second, the basic functions of college students' dormitory culture

(1) Guidance function

The individual life of college students in the dormitory is often influenced by dormitory members. Usually, when the dormitory is positive as a whole, the individuals in the dormitory tend to be positive. On the contrary, if the dormitory group is negative, the dormitory members are generally negative. Therefore, the overall atmosphere of the dormitory will play a guiding role for the individuals in the dormitory.

(2) Normative function

The overall cultural construction of dormitory will play a certain role in standardizing the individual writing of dormitory members, and to a certain extent, it can help dormitory members standardize their own behaviors, develop good living habits and form a healthy and positive value system. This role is not the kind of enforcement system, but an influence, a subtle influence [2]. In a sense, it is more like a moral influence. Generally speaking, such institutional provisions can only play a temporary binding role on the parties. Once the parties leave this temporary small group, many behaviors will return to the past state. The subtle normative function of dormitory is more conducive to helping students cultivate long-term healthy living habits. For example, when dormitory members pay great attention to maintaining indoor hygiene, never stay in bed in the morning and maintain good personal hygiene, as an individual in the dormitory, there will be an internal driving force to keep good living habits. Over time, this good living habit will be internalized into its own internal quality.

(C) Unity and incentive functions

In this small dormitory group, it is inevitable that there will be a gap in strength between dormitory members in all aspects at the beginning, so when people around them see something stronger than themselves, they will have a sense of gap in their hearts. Based on this sense of gap, some people will catch up and try their best to make up for this gap. This incentive effect caused by the gap between members can play a positive role in promoting the construction of dormitory culture and is conducive to the formation of a good style of study for dormitory members.

Third, the rationalization proposal of dormitory culture construction in colleges and universities in the new period.

(1) In the construction of dormitory culture in the new era, we should change traditional ideas and actively innovate.

For a long time, relevant educators in colleges and universities have attached great importance to the construction of dormitory culture. Some schools even put the construction of dormitory culture in the focus of school management, and actively took corresponding measures, set up a special working group for dormitory culture construction, actively worked out relevant work plans, and strengthened supervision and management of dormitory culture construction. In addition, make use of all available platforms to actively advocate the construction of dormitory culture, so that students can realize the importance and significance of dormitory culture construction and establish a sense of ownership. In addition, the school can also regularly carry out some theme activities related to dormitory culture construction, such as essay writing activities or painting activities related to dormitory culture construction, select outstanding works and give certain rewards, which can improve students' enthusiasm for dormitory culture construction to a certain extent [3]. But at the same time, we should also note that the dormitory is not a separate part, and the dormitory culture construction is a part of the whole university campus culture construction. Therefore, when we look at this problem, we should look at it comprehensively, put the dormitory in the big environment of the school, and realize that the construction of dormitory culture is a part of the whole style of study.

(B) In the assessment of dormitory culture construction in colleges and universities, quantitative assessment mechanism should be actively introduced.

Under the current system, most colleges and universities in China do not have a relatively clear standard and regulation for campus culture construction, and there is no relatively perfect organizational form and incentive mechanism, especially for dormitory culture construction. Generally speaking, the atmosphere of a dormitory depends more on the living habits and personal cultivation of students in the dormitory. If the students in the dormitory are lively and cheerful, then the dormitory will naturally form a relatively free and United atmosphere. If the dormitory members are dull as a whole, their living habits are not good, and there is always constant friction in their daily lives, then the corresponding dormitory will form a gloomy environment. However, the construction of dormitory culture is not a one-off event, but a systematic project [4]. In the past, we have organized different forms of dormitory cultural activities, such as dormitory photo wall, class exhibition board, dormitory honor list, dormitory cultural festival, etc. But these activities are basically relatively broad forms of activities, which have also promoted the construction of dormitory culture in colleges and universities to some extent, but they lack certain accuracy, scientificity and systematicness.

1, establish systematic regulations on the management of dormitory culture construction. As far as the current situation is concerned, in most colleges and universities in China, counselors are responsible for dormitory management, but the things that counselors usually care about are relatively complicated. Therefore, in many cases, counselors can only manage some superficial work such as dormitory hygiene discipline, but can't go into students' hearts, change a student's concept ideologically, improve students' ideological cognitive level, stand in students' perspective, think for students, and really do the work where students need it most. Therefore, in view of this situation, the school department should set up a special dormitory culture construction management team to clarify some daily activities of dormitory culture construction in the system, and the corresponding working group will be responsible for it. Moreover, some lectures and competitions on dormitory culture construction can be held regularly to further clarify these activities in the system. Only this institutionalized operation mode can ensure the benign operation of dormitory culture construction activities.

2. Abandon the previous evaluation mechanism which only used health as the evaluation standard, and adopt the multi-index comprehensive evaluation method. In the daily management of school affairs, we find that when students skip classes, they often take the dormitory as the unit, which fully shows that the influence of dormitory roommates is very strong. Therefore, when we evaluate the dormitory, we should look at the situation of a dormitory in an all-round way and abandon the past evaluation model that only takes the sanitary situation as the evaluation index. It is necessary to comprehensively see the indicators of all aspects of dormitory construction and make a more scientific and reasonable evaluation of dormitory.

3. The performance indicators of dormitory members and the whole dormitory should be integrated as the basis for evaluation. In the dormitory appraisal work, we should not only look at the individual academic achievements, moral standards and achievements in competitions of dormitory members, but also look at the overall atmosphere of the dormitory, because everyone living in the dormitory will be affected by the overall atmosphere of the dormitory and will also affect the people around him.

(3) When building dormitory culture, we should pay attention to the management of construction objectives.

In the construction of dormitory culture, management by objectives can be adopted. For example, we can set a phased goal for the dormitory, such as passing CET-4 in the first semester and CET-6 in the second semester. And take the completion of these goals as a reference for dormitory assessment, and give certain rewards to those dormitories with better grades. This can improve the learning enthusiasm of dormitory members and improve the overall effect of dormitory culture construction.

Four. conclusion

As an important part of the overall cultural construction of colleges and universities, the construction of dormitory culture in colleges and universities needs the full attention of relevant staff. A good dormitory environment plays an extremely important role in promoting the healthy growth of every member of the dormitory. Therefore, we should take active actions, take necessary measures and means, strive to create a good dormitory environment atmosphere, improve the learning enthusiasm of dormitory members, and develop good living habits in the limited time of university, so as to better adapt to social life and obtain a better future.
