The main professional research field is applied quantum chemistry, and the specific research direction is the quantum chemistry research of functional materials, environmental problems and biological quantum chemistry. With regard to the quantum chemistry research of functional materials, the optical, electrical and magnetic properties and related mechanisms of functional materials are mainly studied at the molecular level through molecular design, and a "two-way mechanism model of doping and conductivity of organic conductors" is put forward, which has won unanimous praise from experts at home and abroad, and the synthesis and application of materials have also been studied. The quantum chemistry research of microscopic reaction kinetics mainly studies the pollution and repair mechanism of atmospheric environment and the reaction mechanism of small molecules such as interstellar molecules and free radicals at the molecular level. The research of biological quantum chemistry mainly focuses on the mechanism and function of proton migration.
He has successively undertaken three national natural science foundation projects and nine provincial and ministerial projects, such as "Preparation of polyacetylene conductive materials by thermal cracking of phenolic resin", "Synthesis of polyacetylene by new method" and "Study on organic conductive materials for electric double layer capacitors". He has published more than 300 academic papers and won 9 awards at or above the provincial and ministerial levels. There are experts with outstanding contributions in Jilin Province and winners of Cai Ying Medal in Jilin Province.
In addition to the basic research of applying quantum chemistry and functional material chemistry, the application research of electrode materials for lithium ion batteries is also under way.
