Ge, male, born in February 1938, graduated from graduate school, professor, doctoral supervisor, theoretical physicist and academician of China Academy of Sciences. He engaged in the research of elementary particle theory and general relativity in the early days, and then focused on the integrability of Young-Stokes gauge field and its infinite algebraic structure, Young-Kester system, quantum group (including quantum algebra and Yangian) and other branches of mathematical physics for a long time, studied its role and application in quantum multi-body model and quantum information, and paid attention to the new direction of intersection between mathematics and physics in theoretical physics. The recent research mainly involves the connection between topological quantum field theory and Yang-Baxter system and its application in quantum information, as well as the related theory of electromagnetic cloak and the possible practical application of some mathematical achievements. He has won 1978 National Science Conference Major Achievement Award, National Natural Science Award, Science and Technology Progress Award of State Education Commission, Science and Technology Progress Award of He Liang Heli Fund and National Teaching Achievement Award. He has published more than 60 scientific papers/kloc-0, co-authored 9 books and edited 9 books. Now he is a professor at Nankai University and concurrently the dean of the School of Physics of Beijing Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Standing Committee of the International Conference on Group Theory in Physics, the Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, and a member of the Strategy Committee of the Science and Technology Committee. In 2003, he was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences.
