First, clear objectives and refine key words.
As the saying goes, "everything is difficult at the beginning", so is writing a research report. Before writing a research report, we must first make clear what the goal of this research is.
Taking the "Survey on Financial Management of College Students" as an example, the purpose of this survey is divided into three aspects: college students' financial management cognition, financial management status and financial management preference. In other words, through research, we should answer the following questions:
1. How much do college students know about financial management?
2. What is the proportion of financial management among college students?
3. What are the preferences of college students for the choice of financial products?
Second, clear up the logic and build a reporting framework.
Whether designing questionnaires, analyzing data or writing reports, understanding the logical structure of research is the most important core issue.
Third, concrete analysis.
Data processing is a very important link, which is easily overlooked by beginners. After data collection is completed, invalid samples and outliers can be used to deal with data invalidity. The order of questions set in the questionnaire is not necessarily the ideal order for writing a report. Perhaps in order to take care of the reading habits of the respondents, the order of questions was adjusted. Or to prevent cheating, change the order of answering questions.
Fourth, method selection.
Most of the questions in this questionnaire are dimensionless questions, and the commonly used statistical methods are: frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, chi-square analysis, binary logit regression and so on. We can analyze it in turn according to the outline. Also pay attention to the format of the table. Professional research reports (like papers) have strict requirements on format. It is suggested to modify the format of the table uniformly to avoid omission.
Verb (short for verb) Write a report.
When writing a formal report, you can complete it part by part. Usually, the analysis results are described first, and then summarized by combining the results and background information. If there are many contents, it is suggested to add a section at the end of each part as a summary part, and at the same time, suggestions or solutions can be given to the conclusion. Finally, don't forget to add an appendix. Questionnaire survey, statistical results, etc. It's usually incidental.
