So what should we do?

First, respect life, respect nature and establish the concept of ecological civilization.

Man thinks he is the master of all things, and often forgets the basic attributes of animals, which are just advanced animals with developed thinking. We value our own life, but we lack respect for other lives. Predatory development has brought great troubles to human beings, such as forest destruction, shrinking wetlands, drying up rivers and lakes, soil erosion, land subsidence, desertification, rocky desertification and grassland degradation, leading to the extinction of other lives, sharp decline in biodiversity and frequent disasters. The natural ecosystem has been seriously damaged. Human life is troubled and even threatens the survival of future generations. This is the result of disrespect for life and the laws of nature. Individuals in life should respect each other and live in harmony, because no one can live without anyone, just as we can't live without water, air and sunshine. Have we ever thought about the loss of biodiversity when we enjoy the pleasure brought by nature every day? I can't imagine that if rice and cabbage are left on our table one day, we may follow in the footsteps of dinosaurs. To respect life and nature, the report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China gave a clear answer, that is, to establish the concept of ecological civilization of respecting nature, adapting to nature and protecting nature.

Second, save resources and protect the environment from scratch.

The report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China defined the key tasks of ecological civilization construction: optimizing the pattern of land space development; Comprehensively promote resource conservation; Strengthen the protection of natural ecosystems and the environment; Strengthen the construction of system of ecological civilization. A group of children use double-sided paper in their studies, bring their own kettles in their lives, eat without disposable tableware and bring their own chopsticks. It is worth popularizing. The positive guidance of the media is a positive energy that cannot be ignored. I also hope that local media can actively participate, increase environmental protection publicity and raise citizens' consciousness of respecting nature and protecting the environment.

Third, strive to build an ecological civilization.

I believe that every ecologist will feel extremely excited when he sees the report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that "the construction of ecological civilization should be placed in a prominent position, integrated into all aspects and the whole process of economic construction, political construction, cultural construction and social construction, and strive to build a beautiful China and realize the sustainable development of the Chinese nation", which shows that the Party and the state attach great importance to natural ecosystems and environmental protection.
