Chinese traditional patterns show all aspects of human life with realistic, freehand brushwork and deformation methods, reflecting the living habits of different times. It is one of the treasures of China's traditional art and contains rich national cultural elements. These fascinating elements provide infinite inspiration for animated GIF creators. The creativity of animated GIF creators has created different styles of works from traditional lines in different technical elements. Among them, the outstanding representative animations are Nezha Made the Sea, Jiuse Deer, Kung Fu Panda and so on.

This paper mainly expounds the application of the perfect collocation of traditional lines in animated films, and analyzes some problems encountered. Based on the current situation of using traditional lines in contemporary animation, this paper discusses how to better inherit and carry forward traditional national art forms.
