Jiaozuo Teachers College (hereinafter referred to as Jiaozuo Teachers College) is a high-level higher vocational school and a high-level professional construction unit in Henan Province. Founded in 1907 (thirty-three years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty), the school was formerly known as "Huaiqingfu Normal School", which was one of the earliest institutions in Henan Province to hold normal education. In March 2002, a junior college was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

Since the establishment of the school, generations of normal college students have been adhering to the initial intention and mission of serving the country through education and the school motto of "Morality, Learning, Learning and Perseverance", and have made positive contributions to the basic education and economic and social development in Henan Province, especially in the northwest of Henan Province.

The school has 12 colleges and 44 majors. Focusing on the needs of regional education and industrial development, we will focus on setting up five professional groups: primary education, preschool education, e-commerce, computer network technology, culture and tourism management. Approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance, support higher vocational colleges to improve their professional service capabilities.

There are 1 backbone specialty in the action plan for innovation and development of higher vocational education of the Ministry of Education, 2 provincial-level teaching reform pilot specialties, 5 specialty construction sites, 5 comprehensive reform pilot projects of the action plan for innovation and development of higher vocational education, and 4 backbone specialty construction projects.

Scientific research achievements:

Published academic papers 1350, including 375 core journal papers, which were included by SCI, EI and CSSCI; Approved 38 provincial and ministerial projects and 989 municipal and departmental projects; Published 220 books (teaching materials); Obtained 238 patents; Won 423 achievement awards at all levels.

In-depth study, inheritance and promotion of local traditional culture, the establishment of Jiaozuo Yellow River Cultural Research Center, was recognized as Henan Province intangible cultural research base and Henan Province intangible cultural heritage social inheritance base.
