Requirements for publishing papers:

During the period of study, doctoral students must be the first author and sign a contract with Southwest Jiaotong University, and publicly publish (including receiving formal employment notice) academic papers related to their dissertations. Specific requirements must meet one of the following three requirements before applying for thesis defense.

1.SCI or SSCI contains at least 1 article (first author);

2. At least 2 articles have been included in EI (at least 1 article is the first author, and other 1 articles can be the second author, and the tutor is the first author);

3. No less than 4 articles have been published in core journals (at least 2 of them are the first authors, the other 2 can be the second authors, and the tutor is the first author), of which at least 2 articles have been published in the core journals of CSCD source journals or journals included in CSSCI (at least 1 is the first author, and the rest 1 can be the second authors, and the tutor is the first author; Individual disciplines and majors may, according to the actual situation, confirm the core journals within the scope of core journals, which are equivalent to the core journals in CSCD source journals or those included in CSSCI, and report to academic degree evaluation committee for approval).
