How to store framed paintings and calligraphy
Scroll painting and calligraphy, put it away, wrap it in cotton paper or tissue paper first, then wrap it in a new newspaper, and finally wrap it in a plastic bag and tie it around your mouth. The wrapped picture scroll should be put in the painting cabinet or drawer. The painting cabinet should be placed in a dry and cool place, and some moisture-proof agents and insect-proof agents can be put in the cabinet. If there are many picture frames stored, be sure to put the wrapped picture in a painting cabinet or drawer and divide it into several layers. Don't squeeze so hard that you can't press the lower floor. Remember to put a label on the picture scroll, indicate the catalogue, facilitate the inquiry, and reduce the repeated opening of the packaged picture scroll because of looking for the picture scroll. For particularly expensive paintings and calligraphy, besides wrapping, you need to customize paper boxes, wooden boxes, brocade boxes or cloth bags. Another point is to indicate the author, content, date of preservation and date of repair on the label, which is convenient for future inquiry and regular sorting.

When hanging scroll paintings and calligraphy, we should pay special attention to the process of hanging, picking and rolling paintings. First of all, keep your hands clean to avoid stains polluting the picture. When hanging pictures, don't hang them on rusty nails and stained walls, and don't hang them on wet walls. If the hanging environment is humid, it must be put away regularly. Don't hang it in a place with direct sunlight and wind convection, so as not to damage the calligraphy and painting. When choosing pictures, avoid wrinkling them. After taking it off, put it flat on a clean box and roll it up gently. If you hang the painting on the wall, roll it up vertically, with the center of your left hand gently following the shaft at the foot of the ground and the right hand holding the shaft head at the right end to roll it up; If the picture is laid flat on the chassis, you can hold the shaft heads at both ends with both hands and scroll forward gently, or you can hold the shaft heads with your left hand and roll forward with your right hand. For a frame without a shaft head, you can hold the shaft with one hand and push it forward with the other. Pay special attention not to dig the back of the painting with your hands and fingers holding the scroll, so as not to cause scars on the back of the painting.
