English composition on cultural differences in movies
There are great cultural differences between American films and China films. For example, the concept of face, which is very important in Asian culture, almost always appears in China's films, and what is outspoken in American films is usually considered understandable in China's films.

The portrayal of women is different. Although communism should bring equality between men and women to China, there are still deep-rooted gender stereotypes in China's films. This is also true in American movies, but it is not so serious.

Compared with the United States, family is usually a more basic part of life in China, so in China's films, family often occupies a larger proportion. Although it is not so real now, many China films are old-fashioned to western audiences, and the performances seem exaggerated.

The difference is that in China, many film contents are strictly regulated by the government, so if it is entirely up to the filmmakers, what is depicted is not always what should be depicted.
