On the morning of September 25th, 2022, at the unveiling ceremony of "Quanzhou Social Welfare Center" and "Everbright Bailingbang Quanzhou Pension Center", Quanzhou Civil Affairs Bureau introduced that by the end of June, 2022, the registered elderly population over 60 in the city had reached1190,000, accounting for 15.44% of the registered population.

Quanzhou, also known as Licheng, is located in the east of China, bordering Fuzhou in the north, Xiamen in the south and Taiwan Province Island in the east. It is a prefecture-level city in Fujian Province and one of the three central cities in Fujian Province.
