Professor Li is currently the vice president, professor and postgraduate tutor of the School of Economics and Trade of South China University of Technology, a professor at the City University of Macau, a visiting researcher at the Business School of Napier University in the UK, and the director of the China Europe International Hotel Management Education Center of Shunde Vocational and Technical College. Professor Li holds a doctorate from university of strathclyde, England. The main research fields include: tourism and regional development, tourism in developing countries, and comparative study of management education between Chinese and foreign tourism and hotel industry. He has published 7 monographs, translations and teaching materials, published more than 10 research topics at all levels, and published nearly 30 papers. He also served as the vice chairman of the Asian Hotel and Catering Association, the editorial board of China Tourism Research and Hotel Modernization, and the exchange judge of scientific research projects of China National Tourism Administration.
