First, the topic is novel. We can't emphasize the importance of topic selection too much. In a series of previous lectures, we have guided the topic selection many times. Thesis selection, whether in theory or practice, needs to work hard on the topic selection. The topic selection must avoid obsolescence, and an outdated paper is often regarded as non-original research and cannot be evaluated. Second, the information is novel. The materials used for writing papers must also be novel. Too old materials are often considered to be unable to reflect academic frontiers and academic hotspots. In the previous lectures, we criticized the one-sided requirement for novel materials, but in general, from a practical point of view, the materials in the paper are of course new and better, especially in case analysis and empirical research. Third, the authority of information. Thesis materials should also be authoritative. The so-called authoritative information refers to information that is influential in the professional field and can be generally recognized. Papers that cite authoritative materials are more likely to be recognized by the National Defense Commission. On the contrary, if some small publications and unknown publications are cited, the quality of the paper will be reduced. Fourth, rich notes. The citation of the paper must be rich. Take the 30,000-word master's thesis as an example, it is best to have 50-60 annotations. Of course, you can't quote too much, but the number of words quoted should be controlled within a reasonable range. Annotations can't be all quotations. Some words need to be explained and further explained, so as to diversify annotations and avoid similarities. 5. Foreign language literature. If the paper can have appropriate foreign literature, it is considered that the author is more concerned about foreign academic trends. Although the requirements of foreign language documents in colleges and universities are becoming more and more formal, it is of course good to have suitable, necessary and reasonable foreign language documents. Sixth, the argument is strong. Argumentation is the core part of thesis writing. In the process of argumentation, we must be logical and forceful, and we must not drag our feet. Seven, the structure is reasonable. The structure of the paper is the backbone of the paper, and the structure of the paper must be reasonable. This work should be done well in the process of drafting the outline of the paper, and the structure of the paper can be adjusted appropriately in the process of writing, so that the structure of the paper tends to be perfect. Many teachers get students' papers, and the first thing they look at is the outline of the paper, so the structure is also the most important. Eight, kind words. Without content, it won't spread far and wide. On the one hand, the text of the paper should avoid being difficult and obscure, on the other hand, it should be beautiful and smooth. Of course, legal research is a professional research, and French is also inseparable. We don't recommend deliberately creating some concepts, we are opposed to mystifying. Nine, format specification. The format specification of the paper needs to be unified according to the requirements of the school. At present, colleges and universities pay more and more attention to the format specification of papers, and think that the format problem is an important aspect of the formalization of papers. Of course, an excellent paper should work hard on the format of the paper, and the format should not be flawed. Ten, original. Originality is the basis of the paper. If a paper is considered plagiarism, it can't be judged. At present, colleges and universities have purchased plagiarism detection software, and all plagiarized papers have nowhere to hide under the software detection. Students are advised to establish original ideas. In other words, even if the paper can't be judged, even if the paper is not innovative, originality is very important. The above ten points are our accumulated experience in the process of tutoring for several years. Of course, we only tell students what elements an excellent LLM paper contains, but we don't tell them how to include these elements, such as how to make the title of the paper novel and how to make the information authoritative.
