The textbook is divided into four levels: ① Population growth in the world and China; ② Population growth and resource crisis; ③ Population growth and ecological balance; ④ Family planning, briefly explaining the relationship between population and environment and the development of population. However, due to the lack of this section, in order to make students fully understand the development of population and society, the development of resources, ecological balance and environmental protection should be coordinated with each other; Recognizing that controlling population growth, strengthening environmental protection and carrying out family planning are China's basic national policies and major strategic guidelines for rejuvenating China, I have strengthened education in the following aspects in the teaching process and achieved good results.
First, strengthen crisis awareness education.
1. Introduction to population development has a history of two or three million years, but it was not until the17th century that the global population reached several hundred million. /kloc-it began to accelerate after the 0/8th century, and this century is even more amazing. By 1990, it exceeded 5 billion, and now it is close to 6 billion. Today, the world population is increasing by 265,438+600,000 every day, by 78.8 million a year, and by one American population in three years.
/kloc-Before the 0/7th century, the population of China basically remained at about 55 million, and after the 0/8th century, it has reached 540 million. In the more than 40 years after the founding of the People's Republic of China, it has increased to1200 million, accounting for 22% of the world's total population. The rapid development and large population are the difficulties in carrying out family planning in China. It has become the common task of the whole people to control the excessive population growth.
2. Shortage of resources Due to the rapid growth of population, people plunder natural resources, and resources such as minerals, cultivated land, forests and fresh water are relatively scarce. It is estimated that after 100 years, the global oil reserves will be basically exploited.
China has less per capita resources, the world's per capita arable land is 4.3 mu, and China is 1.3 mu; The per capita forest area in the world is 16 mu, and that in China is 1.8 mu. China ranks 80 th in the world in per capita mineral resources; China ranks 88th in the world in terms of freshwater resources per capita.
3. Atmosphere, water, soil, etc. It has been seriously polluted, and nature constantly warns human beings: the world loses 2 1 10,000 hectares of cultivated land every year; There are 6 million hectares of land desertification; 1 1 10,000 hectares of forest disappeared; 25 billion tons of sediment flows into the sea; 450 billion tons of waste and wastewater are discharged into rivers; 150,000 people died from water and air pollution.
China also has 1/3 deserts caused by human factors. In recent years, 1 100 million mu of cultivated land has been salinized; The flow of the Yellow River has been reduced by more than half compared with the 1960s and 1970s, and it has been cut off year after year. 1949 There were 1066 lakes in China, but now there are only over 300.
The above facts show that the contradiction between excessive population growth and resource shortage is increasingly prominent; Human activities that violate the ecological laws have produced bad results while creating civilization, so it is urgent for human beings to solve the population problem scientifically.
Second, educate students about family planning.
Family planning is a major event related to thousands of families and the national economy and people's livelihood. Now middle school students will enter the ranks of the fertility army in a few years. Carrying out family planning education is of great significance to them and the whole country.
Late marriage means that men are not earlier than 22 years old and women are not earlier than 20 years old; Late childbearing refers to giving birth after late marriage. It is conducive to reducing the population burden in China, prolonging the population production cycle and regulating the baby boom. Students should not fall in love early, but should concentrate their time and energy, study scientific and cultural knowledge diligently, and do more obligations and contributions to the country.
Fewer children means that a couple only have one child, which is conducive to reducing the burden on individuals, families and society. In this regard, we should emancipate our minds and eliminate the ignorant and backward concept of fertility.
The purpose of eugenics is to improve the genetic quality and national quality. Therefore, it is necessary to prohibit consanguineous marriage, conduct pre-marriage, pre-pregnancy and prenatal examinations, and take necessary measures such as pregnancy health care and prenatal education to avoid giving birth to newborns with genetic diseases.
