Zhong Nanshan was born in a medical family,1August, 958. In the competition test of the first National Games, Zhong Nanshan broke the national record of 400-meter hurdles in 54.2 seconds. 1960 graduated from Beijing medical college, received an honorary doctorate from Edinburgh university in 2007, and served as the director of 10 State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Diseases in 2007.
20 10 was awarded the honorary doctor of medicine by macau university of science and technology, 20 14 was awarded the honorary doctor of science by the Chinese university of hong kong, and 20 19 was appointed as a member of the faculty by China academy of medical sciences. On September 4th, 2020, Zhong Nanshan was selected as the national model list of teaching and educating people in 2020. On September 3rd, he was selected into the WHO expert group list for COVID-19 epidemic response assessment.
