Xi Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU, for short, "Xipu") is a new international university with independent legal personality and distinctive features, which was approved by the Ministry of Education of China and founded by Xi Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. She is a Chinese-foreign cooperative university with strong cooperation strength, and has a bachelor's degree awarded by the people of China and the right to award a degree from the University of Liverpool in the UK.

Xi Jiao Tong University of Liverpool recruits undergraduates and postgraduates at home and abroad. At present, there are 43 undergraduate majors, 44 master majors (including part-time majors) and 103 doctoral majors, forming a discipline system covering science, engineering, management, economics, architecture, urban planning and design, humanities and social sciences, film and television. All university courses except basic courses are taught in English. At the same time, undergraduate graduates have obtained the bachelor's degree certificate of Xi Jiao Tong University recognized by the Ministry of Education of China and the internationally recognized bachelor's degree certificate of Liverpool University. Postgraduates can obtain a degree from the University of Liverpool recognized by the Ministry of Education of China.
