I. Analysis

Although students need to prove that they understand the relevant legal concepts (that is, descriptions) behind the law and thesis problems, the most important thing for an excellent thesis is analysis and evaluation. Students need to prove that they can recognize the limitations of a particular law or viewpoint, consider judging its incompleteness or illogicality, and develop their own opinions throughout the thesis. Many students will leave their analysis to the conclusion, but it is too late. On the contrary, the analysis needs to run through the whole paper. Express your views, question legal assumptions, and avoid repeating previous views.

Second, personal expression.

Students should explain key concepts or ideas in their own words. This shows that you actually understand what these key concepts or ideas are, without relying on others' expressions. If students can analyze a legal concept or legal point of view from different angles, the results of the thesis will not be low. If students quote other scholars too frequently, their views and ideas will be diluted. Too many quotations will make the paper patchwork and restate other people's views, which can't fully prove your own legal analysis ability.

Third, style and tone.

When students write legal papers, they can choose to write in the first person (for example, I think ...) or the third person (for example, some people think ...). As mentioned above, it is very important whether the tone chosen by students can express their views. For example, the problem of the third person is that "some people think" may be "I think" or "others think". Therefore, if you choose the third person, be aware of the potential limitations that will help you express your views. In addition, make sure your paper is clear, concise and accurate. Before writing, students should know the law as comprehensively as possible. If you are not sure what the law is, you cannot analyze it effectively.
