The Research Center for Geometry and Physics of China University of Science and Technology is a new teaching and research institution directly under China University of Science and Technology, aiming at establishing an open academic platform suitable for the basic theoretical research of geometry and physics, relying on the profound mathematical tradition of China University of Science and Technology. In 2006, he won the first prize in the national mathematics competition and entered Switzerland without test. In 2008, he entered the juvenile class of China University of Science and Technology. 20 12 went to the State University of New York at Stony Brook, USA, where he studied under Professor Chen Xiuxiong and received his doctorate.
20 17 After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton Institute for Advanced Studies and an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
202 1, joined the research center of geometry and physics of Chinese university of science and technology. Gao Chen's father, Chen Qianlin, is the principal of the affiliated school of Hangzhou Normal University. His son Gao Chen, at the age of 14, was admitted to the juvenile class of the University of Science and Technology of China, and at the age of 18, he received a full scholarship from a famous American university to pursue his doctorate. New Progress in Mathematics published by Gao Chen is one of the most authoritative journals in the field of international mathematics. His paper has attracted the attention of the international mathematics community, and was first cited by American Academy of Sciences academician Lawson and others. He can be said to be a successful teenager. In 2008, he entered the junior class of University of Science and Technology of China. In 20 12, he cooperated with Professor Chen Xiuxiong to solve the gravitational instanton problem proposed by Hawking in 1977. 20 17 went to Princeton institute for advanced studies to be a postdoctoral fellow. It was really amazing and talented. Today, Gao Chen, as distinguished professor, the research center of geometry and physics of the Chinese University of Science and Technology, has finished his thesis "Deformation of J Equation and Supercritical Hermite-Yang Zhenning-Mills Equation", which has been published online in the world-renowned mathematical magazine "New Progress in Mathematics". This is not only Gao Chen's own honor, but also the honor of HKUST and even the whole of China.
