A comprehensive national key university with ten disciplines, such as history, is one of the first batch of key construction institutions in China, including "Project 2 1 1", "Project 985" and "Project 2 1 10", and has been selected as "Plan 20 165438".
The "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" is under the dual leadership of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Education, and is compiled by the deputy corps level.
The school, formerly known as Military Engineering College, was founded in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, 1953.
Since its establishment in the early 1950s, "Harbin Military Industry" has always been a key institution of national and military construction. The school is one of the key construction projects in the First Five-Year Plan 156, which was confirmed by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China 1959.
As one of the 20 key universities in China, it is one of the first universities in the State Council to be granted master's and doctoral degrees, one of the first 22 pilot graduate schools in China, and one of the most important universities in China during the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan.
