Education in China, whether online or media magazines, is a war. However, everyone can say good things about swearing, but few people put forward really feasible opinions. Although the author has only been engaged in Chinese education in middle schools for two and a half years, he also wants to teach others how to play tricks and talk about his own feelings. China carried out various educational reform experiments, but all failed to varying degrees. The author believes that the root of the failure of education reform lies in treating the symptoms rather than the root cause: the biggest drawback of China's education is the college entrance examination system. All basic education, especially high school education, is oriented to the college entrance examination. If the college entrance examination is not reformed, no matter what kind of attempt, it will end in failure.
The biggest problem in China's college entrance examination system is to determine the outcome of the test. Candidates have labeled this month's college entrance examination "black". It used to be black July, but now it's black June. The word "black" not only reflects the cruelty of the college entrance examination, but also reveals its unfairness. Twelve years of hard work, just because he failed in an exam, missed out on the university, which largely decided his future. For a candidate who has been trying hard but failed, the injustice caused by the unfairness of the college entrance examination cannot be expressed in words. Fortunately, the education sector has begun to reform in this regard, and I believe that some measures will be introduced in recent years. The author is a Chinese teacher in a middle school, and wants to talk about his views on the composition of the college entrance examination.
The composition test is voluntary.
Marking college entrance examination composition is the most criticized link in college entrance examination over the years. The root of the problem is that there are too many candidates, and in order to ensure that the standards are basically the same, the number of marking teachers must be controlled within a certain range, so the workload of each marking teacher is very large, and mistakes are inevitable. But it is related to the future and destiny of candidates, and the phrase "mistakes are inevitable" is often unconvincing. The author puts forward the first bold suggestion here: in the college entrance examination, not every candidate has to take the composition test, but the composition can be used as an extra test, candidates can register freely, and the scores of composition and basic reading can be combined into the language scores of these candidates according to the percentage.
This suggestion will naturally be criticized by people, but the author still has something to say. The reasons for this proposal are based on the following points:
1. Chinese is a special subject, and literary research and literary creation are completely different ways. This is a little different from other disciplines, even the opposite. It is difficult for people who pay too much attention to literary research to create high-quality literary works, especially poems. Literary creation needs talent more than your professional knowledge. The college entrance examination exists to select talents, and the selection of talents must be targeted. I believe that not everyone who has studied Chinese can become a literary creator, so the author suggests that composition should be taken as a separate test in the college entrance examination, and candidates who are really talented or want to find a way out in literary creation should participate voluntarily.
Second, many excellent compositions of college entrance examination have been buried for many years, and a typical case is Fei Yingying. The fundamental reason is that there are too many candidates, and the average time spent by the marking teacher on an article is less than 90 seconds. Yuan Caizi said: the article is expensive in music. Therefore, it must be difficult to grade a truly talented work in such a short time. Taking composition as a voluntary examination can reduce the workload of marking teachers, prevent really good compositions from being buried, and give real geniuses a broad road to literary dreams. China's literary world is beginning to decline, and it needs a group of fresh troops with real potential.
Third, in the final analysis, Chinese is four words: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The final writing is based on listening, speaking and reading. Taking composition as the direction of voluntary choice, in the teaching process, people with potential for literary creation will naturally be separated from those with potential for literary research, and teachers' guidance will be more concentrated and targeted, which is conducive to the development of students' personality.
Therefore, the author advocates that not every candidate must take the composition test. Of course, I'm not saying I won't take the exam, but how? This is also the second point that the author will talk about immediately.
Second, attach importance to novels and essays.
In view of the requirements of composition in Hunan over the years, the author thinks that we should pay attention to two styles: novel and prose. If the quality of students can be improved to a certain extent because of the centralized guidance of teachers, the author thinks that poetry can also be added. Here, I only talk about novels and essays. The reason for saying this is also well-founded.
First of all, the writing requirements of Hunan province over the years have clearly defined the style, which is basically three styles: narrative, prose and argumentative. The most important thing is argumentative writing, so the training of argumentative writing is the most invested in composition teaching in every high school. However, judging from the high scores of college entrance examinations in various years, the training effect is not very ideal. The author can divide all argumentative essays in the college entrance examination into two categories: one is that it has the characteristics of argumentative essays, but its structure is stylized, so it is called "new eight-part essay". Second, there is no stylized argumentative essay in the college entrance examination, which can only be regarded as a highly rational essay. Strictly speaking, it does not meet the proposition requirements, because many times there is no prose in the proposition requirements of Hunan Province. Such a requirement for college entrance examination composition is unreasonable. If students know what argumentative writing is and write argumentative writing every day, then stylized training will inevitably lead to rigid thinking. Such candidates can't create high-level literary works when they go to college and enter the Chinese Department. Candidates who don't follow the procedure will naturally be reminded by the teacher every day. In this way, there will be a struggle in their hearts. Should it conform to your own personality or obey the will of the college entrance examination? Even if the examinee is willing to obey the will of the college entrance examination, it is hard for the author to believe that he can write a good composition against his will.
Of course, some people will say that you can write a narrative. So what is narrative? Do you want to tell a familiar story like a primary school student, or do you want to learn to make up a story to ensure the quality of the article? Do you tell stories with thick lines or pay attention to description and detail description to make the article full and flexible? I believe the answer is self-evident, but what is a novel that pays attention to description and detail description rather than fiction? In the end, only prose is left. What is prose? In other words, there is no definite method for writing. As long as your intention is focused on one point, you can wander outside things. So what is such an article if it is not an essay?
Of course, why don't I call it a novel but a narrative, and only prose is not prose? This is the second reason I want to talk about. The imagination, thinking and creativity of high school students have reached a certain height, especially some students with creative talents have been able to write works of a certain quality. Therefore, the author believes that the college entrance examination can no longer naively call high school students and their works compositions. It is to trust their ability and evaluate their writing, so the narrative must be formalized in style, so that candidates can understand that they are not primary school students, not writing compositions, but writing. There is no certain method for writing, and there is little difference between prose and essay in essence. Prose can better reflect the characteristics of prose and be more casual. At the same time, they will not let the candidates be bound (the word prose is a bit too serious, and everyone must be able to write prose). They can let students open their minds, activate their imaginations, and search for the materials they can use without reservation. At the same time, they can ensure the best creative state of candidates and give them some space to create their best works.
Thirdly, Chinese education is a kind of thinking education, and the thinking that can best reflect the characteristics of Chinese is imagination and associative ability. Fiction in novels is the best embodiment of the development of imagination, and candidates' involvement and choice of various materials in their compositions is the best performance of association. It can also change the traditional composition teaching mode and stimulate students' interest in writing. Traditional composition teaching cannot cultivate first-class writers, because there is a complete gap between traditional composition teaching and real writing. What candidates learn in the composition class in senior high school can not only help students improve their creative ability, but even restrict the formation of their creative ability to some extent. This can also urge Chinese teachers to strengthen their writing practice and improve their professional quality.
If the college entrance examination must examine the style, the most important thing is to pay attention to novels and essays. In fact, the author prefers to say that the college entrance examination composition should dilute the stylistic awareness.
Third, the teacher's thinking of marking the college entrance examination composition should be younger.
The last link is also the most important one. Different people have different standards for articles. How can we unify the standards? If the college entrance examination composition has become a college entrance examination work, then the author advocates that the novels and essays in the college entrance examination work should be separated and reviewed by a more authoritative team of writers. This team must have the aesthetic vision of the current culture and be younger in thinking. The reason is:
First, since the candidate's works have risen to the literary level, we should let the real writers evaluate them and dig out the candidates that can be cultivated in the future literary world.
Second, with the development of social media technology, high school students have surpassed teachers in keeping up with cultural trends to some extent. When their teacher was still teaching Lu Xun articles, he began to imitate Wang Meng and Jia Pingwa. Therefore, only writers who remain young ideologically are qualified to give our candidates high marks.
The article is eternal, and we can't slack off once, especially in the face of today's literary world, how to select the best talents to inherit the traditional cultural undertakings is imminent. Moreover, Chinese education is not only a basic thinking education, but also a creative thinking education. No matter in which field, the level of humanistic quality often determines the realm that a person can reach in his career. I would like to be the smallest member of this million ashes.
