CET-4 and CET-6 are national English tests administered by the Ministry of Education. Its purpose is to objectively and accurately measure the actual English ability of college students and provide evaluation services for college English teaching. Therefore, whether it is a college or an undergraduate, the same set of examination system is used, and there is no difference between the examination paper and the content.
College English test is a large-scale standardized test and a "norm reference test of standard correlation". CET-4 and CET-6 are national teaching examinations, which are organized and implemented by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). They are held twice a year in the morning and afternoon on the same day. From June 5438+1October 7 10, 2005, the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) entrusted the National College English Testing Committee to issue transcripts to each candidate. The National College English Test Committee for CET-4 and CET-6 has partially adjusted the test paper structure and test questions of CET-4 and CET-6 since the test time of June 20 13. After adjustment, the test paper structure and test questions of Band 4 and Band 6 are the same.
According to College English Curriculum Requirements (Trial), we should revise the examination syllabus, develop new types of questions, increase the proportion of questions and scores in listening comprehension, increase the test of fast reading comprehension, and increase the proportion of questions and scores in non-multiple-choice questions. The trial stage of CET-4 and CET-6 consists of four parts: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, comprehensive test and writing test. The proportion of listening comprehension has increased to 35%, of which listening dialogue accounts for 15% and listening essay accounts for 20%. The listening dialogue part includes listening comprehension of short dialogue and long dialogue; The listening essay part includes essay dictation and multiple-choice essay comprehension; Listening topics are real materials such as dialogues, lectures, radio and television programs. The proportion of reading comprehension is adjusted to 35%, of which intensive reading accounts for 25% and fast reading accounts for 10%. In the intensive reading part, in addition to reading comprehension, it also includes vocabulary understanding in the context of the text. The speed reading section tests various speed reading skills. The comprehensive test proportion is 15%, which consists of two parts. The first part is cloze or error correction, accounting for10%; The second part is short sentence question answering or translation, accounting for 5%. The proportion of writing ability test is 15%, and the genre includes argumentative, explanatory and practical writing.
