There are more than 50,000 cultural relics in the Museum of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, including 152 first-class cultural relics and 179 1 second-class cultural relics. Guangxi is one of the main distribution areas of ancient bronze drums, with rich remains and complete types. Therefore, this museum has become the museum with the largest collection of bronze drums in the world, with more than 360 pieces. Among them, Beiliu bronze drum has a diameter of 165 cm and a weight of 299 kg, and is known as the "king of bronze drums". Published academic monographs include: History of Bronze Drum, Research on Bronze Drum Art, Catalogue of Bronze Drum in Guangxi, General Theory of Ancient Bronze Drum, Unearthed Cultural Relics in Guangxi (Catalogue), Luobowan Han Tomb in Guangxi, Zuojiang Rock Painting, Baise Paleolithic, Guangxi Bronze Mirror and Guangxi Museum. In addition, published academic papers and archaeological investigation reports are also very rich, involving archaeology, history, ethnology, folklore and so on. The secretariat of China Ancient Bronze Drum Research Association is located in this museum, so this museum has made positive contributions to the study of bronze drums, organized many international academic conferences on ancient bronze drums and bronze culture in southern China and Southeast Asia, and promoted international exchanges and cooperation in this academic field, which has a certain influence in the world.

In chronological order, this exhibition adopts thematic form in structure, which is divided into three parts: ancient wonders, ancient chapters of China and China crossing the wind. There are 235 pieces (sets) of cultural relics on display, including 56 pieces (sets) of first-class cultural relics, 26 pieces (sets) of second-class cultural relics/kloc-0, and 3 pieces/kloc-0. Its purpose is to highlight the historical and cultural characteristics of Guangxi, highlight the achievements of archaeological excavation, cultural relics collection and scientific research in Guangxi, and reflect the long and splendid historical and cultural outlook of Guangxi from different aspects by displaying precious cultural relics with strong local characteristics, such as Baise hand axe, stone shovel, embossed pottery, carved bronze wares, big bronze horse, bronze drum and so on, and matching with models and large-scale restoration scenes of important cultural sites such as Huashan murals and Lingqu. The opening process of flowers symbolizes the historical development process of China porcelain from simple to complex, from rough to exquisite, and from germination to peak. The exhibition is divided into two parts. The first part is "Su Shi Su-Unearthed Porcelain", which consists of three units, namely "Early Porcelain in Guangxi", "Plain Porcelain in Wei, Jin, Sui and Tang Dynasties in Guangxi" and "Fragrant Porcelain in Song Dynasty in Guangxi". The second part is "Multicolored Porcelain handed down from ancient times", which also includes three units: "Striving for Wonder and Striving for Brilliance-Porcelain in Song and Yuan Dynasties", "Multicolored Flowers-Porcelain in Ming Dynasty" and "Porcelain in Qing Dynasty". The cultural relics on display in the exhibition are collections of porcelain, including unearthed porcelain and handed down porcelain, which can be traced back to the Warring States and the Qing Dynasty recently. The exhibition mainly focuses on physical objects, and highlights the historical development characteristics of Guangxi porcelain through auxiliary exhibits such as words, photos, charts, scenes, exhibition boards, exhibition walls and display cabinets, especially through scientific and technological display means such as 360-degree holographic imaging and phantom imaging, and combs the development vein of Guangxi porcelain, thus reflecting the brilliant achievements of China porcelain development.
