Shiwan pottery sculpture technique is a traditional pottery-making technique of Han nationality in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, which is mainly distributed in the streets and surrounding areas of Shiwan Town, Chancheng District. Abundant natural resources, geographical location by mountains and rivers, and smooth land and water traffic conditions make Shiwan 1 an important ceramic base in Lingnan, China. In 2006, Foshan City, Guangdong Province declared that the pottery and plastic arts of the State Council and Shiwan were approved to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists.
