First, about choosing schools and majors.
Let me introduce myself first. I went to the School of Business Administration of Nankai University on February1,and then I will share my postgraduate experience from four aspects.
1. First of all, regarding the choice of institutions, the choice of institutions is a crucial link in the postgraduate entrance examination. Improper choice of institutions, too high or too low choice of institutions are fatal to students who have worked hard for a year. If the choice is too high, the initial test results will not meet the requirements of the institutions, and the preparation for one year will be in vain; If the choice is too low, the initial test score will exceed that of colleges and universities, resulting in a waste of scores. The most important thing in choosing an institution is to look at the purpose of one's postgraduate entrance examination. In order to make up for the regret of the college entrance examination, my goal is 985, because my major was reformed last year, and the reference value of the score is not very great. Judging from the strength and geographical conditions, Nankai University is a 985 college with strong comprehensive ability, which meets my expectations for 985. To tell the truth, Tianjin is not a popular area for postgraduate entrance examination now, but it is still a first-tier city, and the postgraduate entrance examination life will not be very hard, but it can also fight against the postgraduate entrance examination army.
Regarding the choice of major, I didn't cross the exam. My undergraduate major is logistics management, and my major is logistics engineering and management. I chose this major because I prepared very late. I didn't start preparing until 1 October1day after the holiday. I have been preparing for studying abroad before, and participated in mathematical modeling at the end of September. Because of the serious epidemic, I decided to be prepared with both hands. This tells my brothers and sisters not to lose heart just because I am late for preparation. Postgraduate entrance examination is not based on time. Mathematics has always been my weakness, and postgraduate entrance examination is also a tough nut to crack. I didn't finish reviewing for more than two months, so I passed math. It happens that the examination of logistics engineering and management is elementary mathematics, and the difficulty is greatly reduced. Besides, I chose this major directly. Generally speaking, the choice of institutions and majors did not waste a long time.
This paper introduces the enrollment situation of logistics engineering and management specialty in Nankai University. After 20 years of professional reform, the examination questions were changed to management and English II. The online population of Nankai University did not reach the plan. It is planned to enroll 26 students, with no test 1 person, and actually enrolled 19 students, with a score of 200 (out of 300), which is of little reference significance and is 2 1 year. Two exams are exempted, so there are 24 places for postgraduate entrance examination, with a score of 22 1. There are 29 people online (55 for single subject English and 120 for comprehensive management), which can generally be achieved. If you have weak subjects, you must strengthen training), which has directly increased by 20 points. So last year's score line didn't mean much. What we have to do is to set a goal and try again.
Second, the initial experience sharing
Introduce my initial review experience.
(1) In terms of time arrangement, I don't think the postgraduate entrance examination is a time war. I only have more than two months to review for the postgraduate entrance examination, and I have a week's rest every month. During the preparation, I also took part in a math contest and an English contest. Compared with other students who took the postgraduate entrance examination, I got up late and the time was not fixed. I don't get up until about eight or nine, and I don't have to go to the library to study. My undergraduate dormitory is far from the library, and it takes 20 minutes to walk. It takes nearly half an hour to walk back to climb the mountain or take the bus, and it takes an hour to go back, and it is not very close to the canteen. So during the preparation for the exam, I have been studying in the teaching building next to our dormitory, and it takes only five minutes to walk. If there are classes in the classroom, I will take some books back to the dormitory to study. Order takeout at dinner and go back to the dormitory. When approaching the postgraduate entrance examination, order a fast food and eat it in the corridor (this is not encouraged because some teaching buildings require that you can't eat, which is not good for your health); The teaching building is closed from 9: 45 to 10: 30, so I can study for more than ten hours a day even if I get up late every day. Of course, I don't want to encourage my younger brothers and sisters to prepare late like me and start early, so that they can relax later and the pressure will not be as great as mine. I mention this to encourage those who feel that they are late in reviewing, and don't be discouraged. You and I are both dark horses.
There are always five subjects to be tested in terms of initial subjects, logistics engineering and management subdivision, namely, mathematics, logic, writing and English.
Postgraduate mathematics
In mathematics, I used a series of books by Chen Jian. The guide to high-scoring math volumes is very useful for laying the foundation (this book is really basic and simple). I ask myself to write a chapter every day. After reviewing the basics for a round, I brushed the math high score guide again, which is a little more difficult than the math paper. Difficult chapters may take two or three days. In order to make good use of the supporting video of the book, I prefer to revise my answers while listening to the teacher. I suggest not jumping the subject, listening quickly and paying attention. After brushing these two books, I can usually lay a solid foundation.
After that, I brushed the Guide to High Score Mathematics Volume. I listened to the trap of teacher Han 10 1. After brushing the trap of 10 1, start to brush the real questions while drawing high. The time is about 1 1 the first half of the month. I used the "high score guide: a detailed explanation of the masters of mathematics real questions over the years". It took me the longest time to make this book. This book is not entirely true, the front part is arranged according to chapters. If you want to get high, you have to print some information yourself. In the last three days, I watched the intensive training ten days before the exam. I regret not seeing it earlier. Although I feel I know a lot, I don't have time to practice. Xinquan's math is not recommended, more than 40 yuan.
(C) the logic of pipeline connection
I bought a lot of books, such as Logic by Lao Lu, Basic Articles and Intensive Articles of Fine Logic by Zhao Xinquan, and True Questions of Logic by Wang Cheng, which are divided into three volumes. I have basically done all these questions, but I feel that I have not gained much. I feel a little lacking in laying the foundation with Lao Lu. I feel that I understand everything when I listen to the class. When I did his questions, I felt the correct rate was high, but I learned the real questions. Then I made the essence of logic, and then I made an intensive article, which had some effect; You have to reflect on yourself and realize it several times; Later, I also listened to Mr. Wang's explanation of the real question. I think the focus of logic is still on the real question. Compared with the real problem, the exercise book is almost meaningless. So as Teacher Wang said, we must cherish the real questions, especially the real questions in recent years. Don't do real questions at the beginning of learning. Be sure to start doing real questions after you feel that you have laid a solid foundation.
The key to writing is to practice on your own. I bought a composition guide and wrote a high score guide. I don't think it has much impact. I might as well just buy a book and write the real questions over the years. From 1 1 month, write a big composition and a small composition every day, and then revise it. If you have time, write on the same day after reading the model essay. If you have time, write it the next day. The point is to learn to write.
Postgraduate English
Then English. Words must be recited every day. I only did the real question of English II, without extra practice. I used Zhang Jian's yellow book, because I prepared IELTS for one month in June, and my score was not very high, 6.5. I just reached the passing line of the school I want to apply for, and my listening needs to be accumulated, so my score is relatively low, 6.0, just because I didn't take the listening test in the postgraduate entrance examination and read 7.5.
The essay is very similar to the IELTS essay, both of which are routines. Recite the fixed collocation, and then arrange and combine it into a small composition. If you have a long preparation time, you can read Gu's "Teach You to Write by Hands", which contains many fixed sentence patterns. You can use both large and small compositions without having to recite too much. A simple one is enough to cope with the postgraduate entrance examination. IELTS, a big composition, pays attention to logic, causes and effects, and has examples, which is also suitable for postgraduate entrance examination. According to this writing routine, you don't need a strong vocabulary to complete it, and you can get high marks or low marks, and the good words and sentences memorized are the icing on the cake.
(5) Related words
Finally, the composition of related words: the composition is divided into argumentative validity analysis and argumentative essay. The former has a relatively fixed writing framework, focusing on finding and analyzing inappropriate points in a given paragraph. If all four points are found and the analysis is fully reasonable, you can get high marks and it is less difficult to prepare for the exam. The latter is similar to the argumentative essay of senior high school Chinese, but it focuses on giving a clear point of view and discussing its establishment. Writing has great flexibility. Excellent literary talent and rich examples are added points, but they are not necessary. The most important thing to get high marks is accurate examination, clear viewpoints and framework, and full and reasonable discussion. It is difficult to get high marks in this part, and it takes a long time to accumulate, so it is suggested that if the exam requires a lot of writing, you need to start preparing this part as soon as possible.
In writing, I recommend Essentials of Writing, which can be used in combination with some books accumulated by cases and intensive reading. If there are difficulties in the review process of the postgraduate entrance examination, you may wish to sign up for a remedial class, such as the one-on-one tutorial course of Xinxiangxu Postgraduate Entrance Examination, which is highly targeted, flexible in class time and free to answer questions after class, which is very helpful for preparing for the exam at the initial stage of the postgraduate entrance examination.
Third, the second interview experience sharing
The second interview can be said to be my turning point, because my initial test score is very low, ranking very low, and I just got the opportunity to enter the second interview, but the chances of admission are not great, and I feel that I didn't play well after the initial test, so the foreign offer came down. I thought I was definitely going to study abroad, so I began to review after the retest list came out. Nankai University is a group of schools with earlier retest time, leaving me only 20 days to prepare. A few days before these 20 days, my job was to add a senior and a senior, learn about the re-examination bibliography on the graduate enrollment website of Nankai University (the re-examination bibliography is the fourth edition of Operations Research of Tsinghua University Publishing House), buy books and materials, and write resumes. The rest of the ten days are rote learning, and I sleep every day 1 from 0: 30 to 8: 00, and the week before the second interview 1 from 6: 00.
The second interview of logistics engineering and management in Nankai University is about operations research, English, politics and some random questions. Fortunately, this year we reduced the design and planning of logistics system. Online examination of operational research usually involves reciting two questions. I memorized five books on operational research, exercises after class and short answers. The English test is spoken English, which is very similar to IELTS. As long as you keep talking, you don't have to worry about whether the pronunciation and content meet the meaning of the question. As long as it is coherent, the teacher will interrupt. Politics, as long as it doesn't deviate from the right track, can say more routines. I have recited Xiao Si and Xiao Ba. Ask random questions to highlight your advantages in English, computer and mathematics. In English, I mentioned the third prize in English competition, IELTS score, CET-4 and CET-6. In mathematics, I mentioned the experience of mathematical competition and three mathematical modeling (including national competition and American competition), and in computer, it was programmed by mathematical modeling competition; Plus all kinds of competitions, awards and scholarships I participated in during my college years, it should be no problem. In the end, I ranked second in the re-examination results, ranking six places higher, successfully landed and won a second-class scholarship.
Fourth, write last words.
Finally, I want to give some short suggestions to my classmates. First of all, I must believe in myself. Where there is a will, there is a way. Secondly, to improve efficiency and combine work and rest, knowledge will not enter your mind after sitting in the library for a day; Finally, be bold and don't be scared by the number of applicants. Those hundreds of people will compete with you in the end. Steady yourself is the most important thing!
Starlight rewards those who travel. I believe you have been preparing for the exam here for a long time. As an experienced person, I know everyone's daily efforts and imagination of the future. In the current environment, we can only struggle on our own, in order to get more precious opportunities and a longer-term future. Postgraduate entrance examination is another opportunity after the college entrance examination. No matter how painful and confused we are now, and how we collapse again and again in front of computers and test papers, we must persist. This process is the only way for us to get closer to a higher circle, and it is also a road worth remembering afterwards.
Come on, I'll wait for you on the shore
