It is a very common phenomenon that university libraries occupy seats. Specifically, it means that someone privatizes a seat as a public resource, and it is a common situation in universities to occupy a seat by using their own belongings. When experiencing it personally, everyone opposed the phenomenon of seat occupation. However, numerous criticisms have not made the phenomenon of library seat occupation disappear. Then, why does the phenomenon of library seat occupation always exist? What are the hazards of library seat occupation? For these questions, the following will be answered from two aspects:

First, the status quo of seat occupation in university libraries

The phenomenon of seat occupation in university libraries did not exist from the beginning, but came into being with the development of social economy and the increase of population. In recent years, seat occupation has become more and more common. In many cases, if I use the occupied seat effectively, others can accept it. What most people can't accept is that they occupy the seat but don't use it, resulting in other students in need having no seats. The number of library seats is relatively fixed, and different people use them at different times. It was originally a very harmonious thing. Now, due to the improper behavior of some people, it has seriously affected the whole order and interfered with other students who abide by the order to use their seats, which is not worth advocating.

Second, the reasons and solutions of seat occupation in university libraries

The reason why the library occupies seats is that there is a contradiction between the number of public resources such as seats in university libraries and the number of people who need to use them. In the proper order, it is impossible to guarantee that everyone can use the seat anytime and anywhere, which makes some people satisfy their demand for seats by occupying seats. College students are an important group in society. As a college student, we should consciously abide by different social orders. In the library, we should abide by the order of the library, don't occupy seats by ourselves, stop it in time when you see others occupying seats, and make contributions to maintaining the normal order of the library.
