internship summary

Xue ting

I started my internship in Beijing Landscaping Engineering Management Office on March 3rd this year, and it has been more than three months. During my internship, I successfully completed all the tasks assigned by the unit and gained a lot. Details are summarized as follows:

The purpose of my internship is to enrich my social practical experience and communication skills by participating in the project work, learn how to give full play to my advantages in a team, establish a good cooperative relationship with my work partners, and jointly achieve the project goals. At the same time, understand the obstacles and difficulties encountered in the actual project implementation, as well as better solutions to them, understand the process and management skills of project implementation, better combine theory with practice, effectively and reasonably apply what you have learned to practice, and strengthen the cultivation of your practical ability while constantly improving your theoretical level. During my internship, I mainly participated in the following work:

Olympic English training

In order to better promote the work during the Olympic Games, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscaping and Greening organized hundreds of forest police officers to give lectures on Olympic English training, and two other colleagues and I were responsible for the English explanation of the training courses. Because students' English level is uneven, some older students have some difficulties in learning, so how to make all students gain something through short-term training and improve their overall English level has become an urgent problem for us to solve. To this end, my colleagues and I solve this problem from three aspects: First, understand the age structure and English foundation of the students and make targeted curriculum arrangements. Before the first lecture, through the communication and investigation with relevant units, the age structure of the students was preliminarily mastered, and the overall level of the students was predicted. On this basis, we have made a targeted training plan and course arrangement. Second, take various forms to enhance the vividness and interest of the course and improve students' interest in English. We rehearsed the situational dialogue, put the words and sentences we need to learn into the dialogue, and lead everyone from reading to reciting until they can talk independently, gradually increasing the difficulty, deepening the impression and improving the students' English level step by step. This teaching method not only enlivens the classroom atmosphere, but also improves students' interest in learning English and lays a good foundation for their further self-study and improvement in the future. Third, according to the students' different ages and English foundation, group training is carried out. We divide a class into three groups according to the students' English foundation, and each person is responsible for one group. According to the English level of each group, make a targeted study plan to guide the study, so that they can all improve on the original basis. We also pointed out their shortcomings in training and pointed out the direction of English learning in the future. After the training, the students generally reported that our teaching methods were targeted, vivid and effective. Through the training, our English level has been greatly improved and gained a lot.

In this training, I gave full play to my advantage of being fresh from school and active in thinking, actively put forward suggestions, participated in the arrangement and preparation of all courses, and many suggestions were adopted by other colleagues and achieved good results. Before each class, I have to prepare lessons carefully, sometimes even late at night. After class, I patiently and carefully answered the questions raised by the students, and I participated in all the training alone. After the activity, my performance was well received by leaders, comrades and students. Through this training, I improved my ability to find and solve problems, as well as my ability to work together to complete tasks. I also realize that the successful completion of the task is not a simple and direct process, and it requires a serious and responsible attitude, a spirit of not being afraid of hardship, mastery of skills, and targeted implementation to achieve twice the result with half the effort.

The second is to participate in the on-the-spot investigation conducted by the IUCN foreign expert delegation in the project area.

On March 6-02, 2008, at the invitation of our Association, three experts from IUCN made a field trip to garden village, Xinchengzi Town, Miyun County, a German demonstration area. They made a field trip to the unique local habitat and learned about the life of local residents. Through experts' research reports, they conducted technical guidance and academic exchanges, which made the implementation policy of the project more clear.

The first time I cooperated with foreign experts, I gained a lot. Whether they are hardworking, optimistic, meticulous and serious, they have deeply infected me. My job is to record the whole process of investigation activities. I accomplished this task well, and summed up the complete and accurate written materials in time, which provided reference for the further development of the project. Through this activity, I improved my ability of unity and cooperation, applied what I learned from books to specific work, and further improved my practical ability.

3. Accompany German exchange students to conduct field research and assist him to collect research reports.

Christoph Nolte is a graduate majoring in environmental management in Germany. He spent most of his time in China collecting data and finishing his graduation thesis. The leader assigned me to receive him all the time and help him complete the data collection. We visited China Research Institute of Water Conservancy and Capital Normal University together, and had a discussion with experts in water conservancy and forestry. Participated in the field investigation and project work activities in the project area, and interviewed local ordinary farmers. While accompanying Christoph, I also experienced a brand-new learning process. After the interview, I need to help him collect a lot of specific information related to the paper. Because the required data involves several fields, the time span is large and it is difficult. I started with the classification and screening of data, screened out what he needed from the complicated information, and classified and summarized them one by one. Then, by consulting various research reports, expert works and academic websites, I collected and sorted out relevant information and gave it back to him in time. Through the collection and analysis of materials, on the one hand, Christoph successfully completed the collection process of papers, which laid a good foundation for him to understand the development of forestry in China and write a good paper; On the other hand, it also broadened my horizons, broadened my knowledge, deepened my understanding of forestry projects and the greening of the capital, and improved my professional knowledge.

Participate in organizing tree planting activities to prevent sandstorms in Japan.

On June 28th, 2008, my office colleagues and I participated in a tree planting activity organized by JOFCA*** in Japan. In the early stage of activity preparation, my colleagues and I went to Yanqing County to choose an activity venue and make activity monuments and costumes. I find that careful planning and comprehensive preparation are the key to organizing a successful activity. I carefully studied the activity arrangement, comprehensively considered the activity process, actively negotiated and communicated with my colleagues, and Qi Xin made concerted efforts to prepare for the early stage in an orderly manner, striving not to let go of every detail and make no mistakes. Through nearly two weeks of preparation, we have laid a good foundation for the smooth development of the activities. Although there was a traffic accident at Badaling Expressway on the day of the event, the road was seriously blocked, which led to the event site arriving one hour later than expected. However, due to adequate preparation and proper response, the problem was quickly solved and the activities were carried out smoothly. With the joint efforts of all my colleagues and me, the activity was a complete success. By participating in this activity, my practical ability and organizational adaptability have been further improved, laying a good foundation for future work.

In short, through three months of internship, I have made great progress in all aspects, whether in professional knowledge, practical ability, organization and coordination ability, communication and cooperation spirit. In the future, I will make persistent efforts to improve my forestry professional level and practical working ability, and strive to complete the transformation from students to forestry practitioners as soon as possible.
