School safety is related to the healthy and harmonious development of China's education, the vital interests of parents and the stability of the whole society. In recent years, under the correct leadership of the district party committee and the district government, our school has firmly established the idea of "safety first", strictly implemented the management system of "who is in charge and who is responsible", improved the system and fulfilled the responsibilities, which has laid a good foundation for promoting the development of education and social stability in our district. However, while the school safety work has achieved positive results, we are also soberly aware that the safety work of the education system is still not optimistic. In recent years, students have drowned, traffic accidents, gas poisoning and other unfortunate incidents have occurred from time to time. At present, the situation of school safety work is still grim, which must be paid great attention to. After a stage of investigation and study, the present situation and solutions of school safety work are as follows:

First, the status quo of school safety work

(A) the main achievements of school safety work

1. Leaders attach importance to and enhance their awareness. Schools can pay full attention to school safety work according to the requirements and arrangements of national, provincial, municipal and district education authorities and comprehensive management departments, regard safety work as an important part of school education work, and strengthen publicity and education among all teachers and students, so that teachers and students' safety awareness can be continuously enhanced.

2. Improve institutions and establish rules and regulations. The school safety organization is sound, and the school can formulate various safety work systems according to the actual situation, such as the duty system and the school emergency plan. Formulate various school safety management measures to make school safety management have laws to follow and rules to follow.

3. Increase investment and improve facilities. All schools are equipped with security personnel to increase investment in school security facilities. The school is equipped with video surveillance, automatic alarm and other facilities, which has built a solid line of defense for school safety work. The municipal government invested a lot of money to equip the school fire-fighting facilities, which provided a strong guarantee for the school fire safety work.

4. Clear responsibilities and implement measures. Education authorities, schools, teachers, parents and students can sign safety responsibility forms at different levels to clarify their respective safety responsibilities and the safety responsibilities they need to bear. Schools can investigate the safety work of schools and rectify the existing problems. 1, lack of understanding, weak consciousness and lax management. Some schools do not have a deep understanding of the importance of school safety work, and their safety awareness is still relatively weak. Driven by the interests of exam-oriented education and evaluation mechanism, some schools still focus on the quality of education and teaching, while paying full attention to quality, ignoring safety work. Individual leaders and some teachers are lucky and careless in the school safety work center, and are influenced by the idea that the quality of education speaks for itself. Their safety education for students is just lip service. They usually have meetings to arrange safety work, but the implementation is greatly reduced and the work is not in place. Once there is a problem, they will scramble to "mend it after it is too late".

2. The system is not perfect and the supervision is not in place. Some schools have no effective safety management system, or the system is imperfect, the management is weak, and there is a lack of supervision at ordinary times. According to some parents or students, some schools (especially junior high schools) didn't arrange teachers to be on duty at noon, or the teachers on duty neglected their duties, which led to students fighting and even off-campus teenagers fighting and making trouble at school. In addition, some city schools have a large number of students, so whenever there is an assembly or exercise, teachers are arranged to organize with the team without queuing, which poses a great safety hazard (crowded stampede accident).
