The college attaches great importance to teaching, scientific research and teaching reform, and undertakes public foreign language courses for undergraduates and postgraduates as well as English and Japanese teaching. Since 2000, the passing rate of CET-4 has increased by 4% every year, and the cumulative passing rate has increased by 18.26%. Our first pass rate of CET-4 ranks second among similar universities in Beijing. The passing rate of English major in our college ranks among the best in the national English test band 4 and band 8 over the years. The passing rate of the first Japanese major students in TEM4 100%. Focusing on teaching reform and teaching research, the academic atmosphere of the college is increasingly strong. Since the establishment of our college, teachers in our college have published 194 papers in foreign periodicals, including 10 papers in core periodicals, 7 articles edited and translated, and 52 textbooks compiled. From 0 1 in 2004, our school passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education and became one of the national 180 pilot colleges for college English teaching reform. In addition, the college has undertaken a number of research projects and sent teachers to famous foreign universities for further study every year.
