In order to study the application amount of plastic film mulching fertilizer in different periods of flue-cured tobacco production in high altitude areas and its influence on tobacco yield, the optimal application amount of plastic film mulching fertilizer in Yunnan Province was tested in Baoshan, high altitude areas according to time. The results showed that the economic characters, agronomic characters and chemical composition indexes of 40-day mulch transplanting fertilizer treatment were good, while the economic characters and agronomic characters of 50-day mulch transplanting fertilizer treatment and 30-day mulch transplanting fertilizer treatment were poor. In high altitude areas, it can be arranged that the tobacco plants grow well after transplanting the uncovered fertilizer for 40 days, and the economic benefits and chemical quality are high.
