The School of Economics and Management of Beihang University originated from the Department of Aviation Engineering Economics established in 1956, and it is one of the earliest management departments established by China University of Science and Technology. In the course of decades of growth, it has made brilliant achievements, trained more than 6,000 undergraduate, master, doctoral and postdoctoral students, and trained a large number of talents for China's space industry and national economic construction. College is a research-oriented economic management college, which has completed and undertaken more than 20 projects of National Natural Science Foundation 1 (including 5 key projects and major international cooperation projects 1), 6 projects of 973 projects1,6 projects of 863, and a large number of horizontal scientific research projects (including 4 projects with more than 2 million yuan). The amount of annual scientific research funds exceeds10 million yuan. The college publishes more than 20 papers in SCI international journals every year, and publishes a large number of papers in international academic conferences and domestic journals. Teaching and scientific research achievements won the first prize of natural science of the Ministry of Education and more than 40 provincial and ministerial awards. Three doctoral dissertations were rated as 100 excellent doctoral dissertations in China, 1 was nominated, and 1 won the first prize of "Excellent Doctoral Dissertations in Economics/Finance of CICC".

The college is located on floors 6, 7 and 9 of Building A of Beihang University 10, 1 1, with a total area of 12000 square meters. The teaching area of multimedia classroom, case classroom, case discussion room and experiment center is 4500 square meters. Teachers have excellent office conditions. Each full professor uses two offices independently, and each associate professor or lecturer uses one office independently. The research data center is 350 square meters, with rich books and academic journals for teaching and research. Teachers and students can obtain academic journals published by most famous publishing institutions at home and abroad through the network in the office and data center, conduct online retrieval, reading and full-text download, and can conveniently use the data in various economic management databases.
